my problem with tanks, every single tank out there..because of the cartos it utilizes.

On kanger bottom coil cartos ... I've only been in this for a couple months, but I have used the Kangers almost exclusively and have had no funky taste issue ... my understanding is that they did have an issue that has been corrected and any newer stock is fine ... they are great cartos, hold way more e-liquid that the boges I've tried, and produce more and warmer vapor.

Wow, some unbelievably helpful advice in this thread! As mentioned in my previous post I am new to tanks, and had recently tried doing a few dry pulls to re-soak the filler. But doing a couple small pulls only helped temporarily. So I just decided to try dry pulling several times very hardly which resulted in many air-bubbles. My result? Well, my cart has become completely soaked as if I just topped it off! In fact I actually went too far, as my carto is now gurgly and soaked to the bone all the way to the top of the filler (LOL). But hey, at least I don't have to worry about it being too dry right? :D

But what does this prove? It proves that dry pulling helps on a monumental scale to pull in that liquid, even the ultra thick 100% VG I am currently using sucked right into the filler. I am now a believer!

Gotta love these tanks! Dry pulling every so often is SO Much better than having to top-off the carto which can be messy and annoying (as brilliantly illustrated by TonyTT ). So now when I want that fresh new carto taste, I just dry pull hardly a few times, and wholah, nicely soaked carto filler!

I am so glad I found this forum!

Thanking you.

Oh also thankyou for the kind offer of vaping for me but I think I have that part nearly covered. Generous offer given the distance between PA and FL and how much juice I am getting through.

It's not THAT generous....you'd have to fly me out to florida...I'll be waiting by the phone...

Looks like the OP got his questions answered, I hope.
Funky taste after a while? Primer pull a time or two and take off again.
Dry on cotton top inside the carto? Don't worry as long as your hittin' good.
Hole size, 2 or 1, VG, 50/50 all answered very well.
Here's what I do prepping for a tank:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-tank-discussion/268036-jig-saddle-valve.html
After pop (thru), one full turn per hole.
2 holes for 85/15 to 100% VG and
1 for everything else.
Prime well. I drip at angle and thermometer flip, repeat.
Fill the tank.
Primer puff and watch for air bubbles, and then just once in a while as needed.
-On the tank.
I guess the only reason they call them DCTanks is that's what carto they send w/ it!
I bought 2 tanks the other day for less than $10 w/o the cartos. myvaperstore.com I think
As long as it works fine, cheap is a plus.
Like was already mentioned, match what you need.
Like countless others, I'm running 1.7 SCs on my 3.7 device and 2ohm DCs on my VV.

Thanks
