Well, Mike should be aware of my problem ... yesterday, shortly after I posted this thread, he even asked me questions to get a better idea of what the problem could be.

But ever since then, he hasn't been back in here.

So - do you think I should mail him nonetheless? ~ I could call him on the phone as well .. if he had a landline, I wouldn't even pay a single dime for it, as I have an int'l flatrate (for just very little money per month!).

:)

6. #4 yes , test the output voltage ( red lead to center screw , black lead to bottom cap or top cap threads --- Okay, will do that and come back with results

5. if #4 is yes , test the battery voltages (will do so - but the same batteries work on my blue buzz just fine!)

Just to make sure: I measured the Volt output of the batteries as well: 4.11 and 4.06 respectively - on top of that took changed the batteries as well, makes no difference. That was the first thing I tried anyway, but just did it again so in order to not overlook anything.

6. #4 yes , test the output voltage ( red lead to center screw , black lead to bottom cap or top cap threads --- Okay, will do that and come back with results

Did just that, and here are the results: 1.9 with the adjusting wheel somewhere in the middle ... 2.1 with the adjusting wheel on the red mark.

So it looks like the flow doesn't work, not? ... What can I do about it? Or what can *someone* do about it... I still think it might be just "a little thing" which would make it more feasible to look for s.b. here and tell them exactly what to do, hm? I mean, the shipping to and fro alone takes quite a while btw. Calif. and here....

I'm really sorry you have to go through that Mama but electronics do go bad sometimes. My wireless router just went kaput too and it was a pretty new router so I had to get a new one.
My daughter just bought a 200 dollar phone(thats after contract reduction) and half the screen quit working before we got home from the store....... Got it replaced though....8 days later...

Just pushing this thread up again, so we can remember what my problem was and why I sent my baby back to its daddy.....

No blue light when clicking button -- but button clicked -- however didn't produce any vapor. That was the bottom line.

OMfG!!! That's like the dentist's syndrome: once you sit in his chair you can't remember that you had had a toothache at all....

Phewwwwww, finally found out what might have been wrong with it, as yesterday all of a sudden I had the same failure with the new blue Buzz!

....and I even can reproduce it!!

All I need to do is to screw the atty on TOO TIGHT! I was quite desperate yesterday and felt so embarrassed to possibly have to tell you that another one shows the same symptom .... and somehow I got the idea to *not* screw the atty on tighter but to make it a bit more loose instead! And THIS works fine.

OMfG!!! If that was ALL which was wrong ... then I should immediately sink into the ground! :rolleyes:8-o
