But then, life is not *THAT* easy, right?

To prove they are really present in my house and out to tease me, the evil spirits today made the blue light constant on my "new blue" one. The only way to stop it producing vapor was to turn it off with the bottom cap. After that all was fine - till the next pull I took. Same story. Loosened bottom cap again, made it stop. Then put it aside for a while .. picked it up again: EVERYTHING NORMAL like that lil incident hadn't happened at all!

That can't be "a natural cause" it MUST BE evil spirits!!! yesyes... *nodding* :D

So ---- the BP arrived safely in Germany (must have been at least Friday already).... as yesterday I had the nearly usual letter from customs in my (snail) mail. Once more, they "couldn't process it through customs" because obviously the papers have not been attached OUTSIDE the package/letter?

Now I have exactly the case I didn't want to go through: I have to explain these guys that it's not a "fresh import" but just a return shipment for a repair. I hope Teri's letter which she sent me by e-mail will convince them! Will phone the guys first thing tomorrow (Monday) morning and find out what they want from me this time....

Gosh, they are getting SO tedious over here!!!! And more so after a 2months long media campaign *against* vaping where obvious lies were and still ARE communicated ... guess by who! *grmp* Of course we are doing our best to counteract it by massively writing comments to these false media reports ---- but we all know the 1*1 in communications: the first shot always hits deeper! :(

Thanks for the empathy, folks! FranC, oh no, if I consider what kind of utter Bull..... happened to some of my fellow vapers lately, I am the lucky one!

Got my Buzz out of customs without having to pay again, but only because I am so "Granny" - and a woman on top of that, and the BP is a technical item... No, I must say, ALL the odds were against me:
-- No pro-forma-invoice attached to the outside of the package (that little piece of paper is not being acknowledged)
-- No (real) proof from my side that the BP had already been mine before
-- but some nice guys who thought that I am just a naive old woman who gets her stuff from all over the world... and am not so knowledgeable about the correct procedures...

*giggle*

Explanation: They know me already, I had to go there rather frequently over the past 6 months, be it for batteries from DealExtreme, or spare parts & aromas from Health Cabin (NO nicjuice however! That might go terribly wrong!)... so they have seen me quite a few times -- and as I used to be a teacher in primary school (grades 1-4), I talk to them in that same simplistic way ... and I seem to sail through hairy situations just so. It's just tedious for me to have to drive there and do my talking and show my invoices and paypal printouts.... but lately I have heard of another guy of our German forum, whose ProVari got sent back -- completely without any legal grounds. Just because customs in HIS region decided to be a**holes about any vaping stuff.
MY customs today thought that my "battery mod" was meant for a flashlight, and I did not tell them the true purpose. It was like a stand-up comedy... VERY funny indeed!!!

Main thing is: my purple baby is back with Mama! :D :vapor: :D

I have a similar problem.
Buzz pro does not work, only get red light when carto is attached, if I unscrew the carto red light goes off.
Will sometimes get a blue light but nothing else, does not heat up. Nor do I hear the carto working.
I do not have a voltage meter. Yes the button clicks.
I have cleaned the top with alcohol & qtips.
I removed the ground wire screw, and lost it, ( about a month ago), but it worked after that, but this new complaint started about a week ago. So I am unhappily using my ole riva's, so sad:(

Sometimes I will have that same problem and the culprit has turned out to be the carto itself. Not that it's a bad carto because it will work on another device, it's just the carto isn't touching down enough on the BP for it to fire.

Try pulling the center pin on the carto down a little, I use a little nail or small screwdriver to do this. Simply insert into the center hole of the screw end of the carto and pull it out a tad. After that, try it again on the BP.

Ground screw is HIGHLY important. It worked after out of sheer luck. The nut is down inside somewhere and the ground has come loose from the side. Its possible to fry the board the way it is. Take out the batteries first. Then see if the nut falls out after you remove the top cap. Then you either have to find a screw and nut to put the ground back or send it to mike to get him to do it ;)

Thanks Ruppy! I totally missed the part about losing the screw. I'll attribute it to being blonde or exhausted, both of those apply today. :)
