Just one suggestion, lay the carts down so the centrifugal force actually does something. Standing up like you pictured will not work unless your trying to load one side of the carto. It should work great for drying and filling IF the carto is positioned properly around the outside of the holder away from the center equally spaced for balance.

I agree. That's a great idea, but having them stand up won't actually push the juice to the battery end... You would have to lay them down with the battery end to the outside.

Why not just refill directly into the packing with a syringe? It would also allow you to measure precisely so as not to overfill.

I was doing this for a while, but it actually (in my experience) seems to work better with the spin method. I think the juice gets distributed more evenly this way.

When using a syringe, I was always poking in a few different places at varying depths in order to try and get the juice into every part of the filler. Spinning takes this part of the guess work out.

Another drawback (again, in my experience) with the syringe method is that I seemed to get flooded cartos much more often. With the spin method, the juice seems to want to wick away from the center/atomizer area and concentrate into the filler.

What would seem to me would work better is to JB weld some AA holders onto a small desk fan. Just JB weld the AA holders onto the blades, the cage will keep the cartos from flying out or anything, but you could always tape them into the AA holder for good measure.

What I think could really be the holy grail of carto refilling is some sort of holder that also has a small tank attached, and needles that can be inserted into the carto and hold it into place, with a small airhole to allow the liquid to move out/refill the tank with the premeasured amount of liquid. BAM. Take a dry carto, put it on the rack (with the needle slid into the hole) and centrifugal force will both force the liquid out of the tank and into the carto, as well as forcing the juice down evenly.

You could call it the AFS. Automated filling station.

If only there was some way to precisely measure the juice flow and stop it at 30 drops. That would allow you to just use a bottle of juice instead of a special premeasured tank.

The battery bag is just a velvety pouch with a string tie that fits a battery, Steve often gives them as freebies when people order batteries. I just used it because it was convenient and sitting in front of me. Anything that keeps the battery end of the carto pointed away from you and allows you to spin it would work. Some people even use a glove.

soo.. uhh whats the battery bag.. im still confused what that is. LOL i usually just shake them after 10 drops. :b

I don't know, which is another reason why I just fashioned one out of a pen cap that fits a cart perfectly and some tape/rope.

Don't have one myself but if I remember right I'm pretty sure I read somewhere along this thread that they are bags that V4L used to (or maybe still do) give people that you can carry your batteries in.

If you don't have one or haven't got the stuff to build any neat little contraptions then I've found that just using a normal sandwich bag and putting 2 or 3 carts stood up in it in the same direction and then putting a bread tie on it to keep them from being able to move around the bag works just fine. ;)

I have lots of various size short pieces of thin walled plastic hose from my fish pond hobby. Stapled one end closed, loaded some carts into the hose, hold the other end of hose & spin. Simple, high capacity ( dependent on length), and simply dump them out when done spinning. Cost - approx. $ 1.50 for a 30" length. Want to automate ????? Staple both ends, poke hole in middle, put a machine screw thru hole, and tighten a nut to secure. Then chuck the screw in an electric drill. I would not recommend going longer than 30 ".:D

can someone sum this thread up for me, I don't have time to read 40 pages of suggestions, whats the proper way to spin using the battery bag method? I always put xtly 20 drops in then put the cart in the battery bag mouthpiece side facing upwards then just spin it as hard as I can for about 25 seconds, I try to keep it even but it tends to loop downwards.

it vapes pretty well but the way i vape not for long, i tend to smoke it more like a hookah or french pipe more then a cig, mixture of short hard drags and medium to long drags, i vape untill the cart starts to burn my lips.

auto PTs seem to be auto dead the moment they touch my hands, only manual PTs seem to work for me, and due to my electrical issues I'm force to use one of those $50 kenginston battery pack chargers when using my PTs, quite a vaping ordeal i've been going through, trying my hardest to keep this healthy habit going but I tend to make even the healthiest of things unhealthy.

I'm just a black hole, an abyss of power draining dysfunction lol.

I'm very new to cartomizers. Just received my first empty carts after being disappointed with the flavors from some pre-filled cola, cigar and Marlboro ones.

I get the idea advocated here and even have one of those velvety black bags. However, if my wife sees me spinning around, she's going to think I'm on drugs;-) plus I tend to get dizzy:-(

If I'm patient and leave 25 or so drops of juice in each empty cart overnight or longer, will I get the same penetration or is the centrifical force absolutely necessary to properly fill a cartomizer?

BTW: for 801s, most of us mix juices at around 70% PG to 30% VG. Does this rule apply for cartomizers too? Whatever the mix is from the factory, I'm getting very little vapor from the pre-filled.

Ummm....spin the carto...not the body!! Silly man .

... all I could picture was Buddha there holding bags of cartos in his hands spinning around.

You can fill them fine without spinning. Just don't put as much in them. If you put too much in them it won't soak down in any no matter how long you leave it sitting. If you can't/don't want to spin you can always use the little "condom" and the plunger method to push the juice down in and fit a little more.

I tried the spinning method, but for me the plunger method works just as well.

OK. Thanks guys. Tried the spinning (carts, not me). Does work pretty well.

I think I'm getting similar results by shaking the cart like our mothers used to do to get the mercury down on analog thermometers when we were sick. Just grabbing the mouthpiece end and shaking the threaded end like a whip.

Re: The avatar. Sorry, while I do look silly spinning, I don't look much like the Golden Buddha. Its just that I believe in offending all religions equally;-) On the other e-cig forum I use a JPG of a buzzed Jesus smoking a Marlboro while drinking a beer.
