What is the trick?

I received my order of Vanilla Nobacco juice today and I'm having a terrible time filling a New Cool Carto with it! I shook up the bottle, so that I was sure it was mixed. I put 6 drops in the end of the carto (little white end removed). Those 6 drops filled the end of the Carto, so I left it sit for 30 to 45 minuets. They had not soaked in, so I called V4L and was told to put the Carto into a plastic bag and spin it.

I did what I was told and I spun it like a wild man for about 5 minutes. I was able to get in 6 more drops of liquid and then I had to re-spin it for another 5 minutes. Another 6 drops went in and then another 5 minutes of spinning. I finally got the last few drops into the Carto. Again I had to spin the daylights out of the carto.

The Vanilla juice is super thick, in fact so thick that no matter how hard I tried, it would plug the air hole, so I ended up wasting quite a bit of the liquid because it came out of the bottom hole of the Carto. What a mess!

Is this normal? Or did I get a bad bottle of juice?

okay....1) plug the bottom of the carto with a buttplug and condom(if you have any wow cartos, they come on those)
2) filling a new (not prefilled and being refilled) carto, it does not saturate as quickly
3) the vanilla...is it by chance the vg version?
4) you can also do a thermometer flick instead of the spin...and snow has several excellent videos on filling and even how to make your own spinner
If you do the thermometer flick, instead of a plug and condom, you can stick a toothpick in the center hole from the top to prevent liquid from getting in there...

if its VG wow Vanilla, it will be VERY thick. try leaving the clear rubber cap on the bottom while dripping and putting both back on when spinning....

Or try an 18gauge syringe an just place the tip down the side wall of the cartomizer with the cap on the bottom....then press the plunger and fill until you reach the top of the polyfill, then pull BACK the plunger until the polyfill is damp, not drenched. then VAPE.

I've had this same issue with VG carts. Is it common for VG to be thicker? Some types of VG juices are so thick that it takes hours for the first few drops to absorb into the mesh!

I am laughing hysterically, with a mental image of you with your carto in a plastic bag, arms all flailing about like a "wild man" spinning your carto!!!!!!!!!!!

yes jaspry...vg is extremely thick....it is a little more manageable if you can warm it a little between your hands....I DO NOT recommend heating to high temps....you could warm the bottle also in a warm....slightly warm mind you....water bath.....I mean just a tad over tepid

could always attempt using a syringe. I've never had to, but have considered getting one just for such occasions like this. I would probably put about 5 or 6 drops in a separate little jar of some sort, suck up those drops into the syringe and then slide the needle along the outside edge of the filler (between the metal casing) and squirt a little in 4 places equal distance apart. Then you could do the same for the middle of the carto and finally top off by dripping on top of the filler. Does anyone else have instructions for filling with a syringe?

Thanks for all the info! Yes, I do believe the liquid is VG, so that does explain a lot! I'll try warming it up in some warm water for the next filling. I do have one little plug that came in another carto that I can use too. Thanks for the video links and the idea on the tooth picks! I'll definitely give them a try!

Yes, VG is much thicker than both the Wow or Premium juices. For each of the three types, I would say the viscosity increases with the darkness of the juice. Wow Chocolate, Wow White Chocolate, Wow Vanilla, and Wow Cafe Mocha are all very dark juices in the 18mg strength, but the color also varies with the amount of nicotine. I use an 18ga syringe/needle to refill and it works beautifully but I have never tried VG and I highly doubt an 18ga would be large enough for the juice to pass through it. Our resident VG expert, Jeffree uses a 16ga syringe/needle to refill cartos with VG juices.

18ga does work, it just takes a while for the juice to catchup with the plunger.....

There is another thread around here somewhere about using bead tubes from the craft store as a spinner....I use one attached to a lanyard...there are several options for spinning, and if you use the plastic bag, make sure the bottom of the carto is in one corner and hold by the opposite corner to spin

I just learned from Snow's video on the drip method,and thats what i do ,and thats all i do .Does not take me anytime whatsoever now to fill about 10 carts successfully .
No syringes ,no lanyard nothing .You can let them sit overnite or not ...

I do it on the fly by removing white soft cap angle cart a little and apply 4 or 5 drop directly not in center just around edge
pop back white cap ready to go for and hour or 2..only use this way on manual battery..
