Top of the pic are the battery bags, but as has been said you can use anything as long as it keeps the cartomizer with the battery end pointed outward as you spin.

I decided to make a little device to help force that stuff down in there. This is take one and I will be refining it.

A few things:
1) before you give it a spin put the .... plug in. It saves mess and wasted juice.
2) you don't need to swing it hard. It does fine with a nice smooth swing (like a lasso, or one handed jump rope)
3) I put 4 quarters in the bottom so it has some good weight.
4) You can use whatever kind of cap from a jug or anything that's a good size. I used the rubber end cap off a metal mop handle.

I've devised my own spinner-refiller device, too.

The rubber grommets were purchased from Ace Hardware. Don't recall sizes.
The plastic paint pen kit came in a cheap 3-pack item at Target.
The metal ring was a found object. A thick key ring could be used, maybe.
The leather cord was purchased from Walmart.

Also, I realized after taking the pic that the cartomizer would have the white cap and rubber ring removed had I actually been refilling. Oops!

How many refills are you guys getting per carto? I'm super new at this (2.5 weeks), and am totally off of analogs already. I need info about when you know to throw a carto out, OR REALLY when you know "it's on its last legs"?

Reason I ask is that I can't get 18 in but I'm usually topping it off until it tastes nasty then I do a full refill. By the time I do a full refill I blow all of the juice out, rinse in very hot water with some dish detergent....blow the water COMPLETELY out of it and then I can get about 10 in or 12 if I want to avoid leakage or swallowing it. I don't wait for drying time. I have tried the shaking like a thermometer and spinning which helps get the 10-12 in. I do notice that once I do a total refill, if I wait for a few hours I can sometimes get another drop or two in. Is this because my cartos are already almost "shot" by the time I do a full refill??? what do you think? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh nuts. Well, click to make it big... I gotta sleep. G'night Taryn.

Looks like you quit 2 days before I did. I'm still very broke still too and still have to order more V4L....but its worth it. I feel so much better already after 18 years of smoking pack of full-flavored menthols/day.

Congrats to both of us!!!!!!!

No, you don't want to put the carto on a battery first. That would almost guarantee screwing up an auto battery and would make a mess on a manual.

It works better with a plug, but no condom.

This is really helpful info. What do you do to unflood a battery or clean it without killing it?

Thanks!!!

You should be able to get at least 18-20 drops in a KR808 cart (V4L type). This is assuming that the drops come from a V4L bottle and they are PG based. (I have not purchased liquid from any other source and I hate VG juice.)

Perhaps, your carts are not completely dry when you are refiling. Sometimes, once may cart is not producing enough vapor, I just consider it spent and it tales well less than 20 drops. If it start tasting burnt, then it is completely dry and you should be able to get the full complement of 20 drops in.

I just use the Cap Condom Filling Method now. It takes only a few seconds for each cart. If you are not familiar with this, look up the Video by Dogsbody. I believe it is in the Tips and Trick section.
