The MVP is a nice, solid, and long-lasting unit. I got mine at fasttech as well. It lasts a long time (I chain vape too) and charges pretty quickly. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to use it either - Green means good, yellow means running low, red means charge. Easy peasy.

It's simple stuff, but what about the hassle factor? I really wanted the v2 juice box, until I looked at all the stuff needed to keep one going. More pieces to keep track of = a massive pain in my rear. Cartomizer tanks are my go to. How do those do with tanks?

Oh this is a very embarrassing thing to admit. I drain through 900 mah eGos every few hours maybe get 3-4 hours out of a 1100 mah. Go through anywhere from 4.5-8 mL of juice a day. What about that juice box thing?

the 1300s will get you about 5 hours.

Truthfully??????? I am disappointed with the VV., to be honest,,,,,,,no big deal. I wind up vaping right about where the regular non vvs put me.

How boring and unexciting huh?????????

you won't know til you try it, though,,,,,,,

and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

I have ProVaris, a Vamo and a Bobo (which is a Sigelei Zmax in a limited edition body). I like the Zmax screen and menu a lot more than the Vamo. The Vamo works fine, but it (in my opinion only, no flames please) has a cheaper feel. I also have to keep an eye on the washer around the connector pin, since it arrived a bit chewed up and people have had problems with it. Mine's top heavy too, especially in 18350 mode. I only had it a week when it fell over and bumped another mod, scuffing the screen. But as I said, it vapes fine; I'm vaping it now.

I suggest looking in the sub-forums for the specific mods you're interested in and seeing what kind of issues owners are posting about.

ETA: I have a little box mod too, but it's 3.7v and would look silly with a carto tank on it.

Or the MVP. My husband is wanting me to go provape, but I am so cheap! Plus he would be embarrassed of me using the box in public, which makes me want to buy it more ;) If I didn't spend money on fishing, car stuff, video games...the kids (Joking) I could justify a provari. Don't get me wrong, because I am probably going to end up with one. Husband will probably have to order or I will start feeling guilty about spending the money ;)

If money is not a concern, I suggest a Mini Provari. It's my go-to APV. You can put any juice delivery device on it you like, from a solo cartomizer or ProTank/Vivi Nova, to a cartotank, to an RBA. It has a great portable size for out & about. And for home you can use a battery extension cap for a larger battery and longer vaping time.

Extremely durable, consistant, and dependable. Provari's just work. Unlike the Chinese made mods, even after the one year warranty expires Provape will continue to service your Provari for as long as you own it for reasonable repair fees. Service turnaround is generally one week. (China made mods do not have repair service; when they break, they're disposable.) A Provari will give you years of service.

I use the variable voltage feature a lot. I switch flavors in multiple cartotanks frequently, and each flavor can be fine-tuned with the appropriate voltage setting for their own "sweet spot". The Provari is loaded with safety features, and has a built in voltage and ohms meter - extremely convenient.

Having said that, I've been using my first bottom feeding box mod a lot lately. It's an inexpensive V-Mod XL from Vapage. It uses an 18650 battery that lasts me 1 - 2 days. It has a removable built-in tank that you gently press to feed juice to a drip well on top of the mod. You do a primer-puff to get juice from the drip well to either a cartomizer or drip atomizer. Small in size and light in weight; very pocket-worthy for on-the-go use. VMOD 2.0 and VMOD XL

If the shape of a box doesn't bother you, I'll jump on the MVP bandwagon. I've had mine about 6 months now, very happy with it. Not sure about the rumored V3 having VW, but it's supposed to add an ohm checker. But it's so easy to adjust (without self-adjusting!) the voltage that it's not a deal breaker to me.

At 2600 mah, it should get you through a day. Plugged into a 2 amp wall wart, mine takes 2 - 4 hours to recharge, depending on it's state.

Rugged and dependable unit.

Ah, posted too soon, I did :p

MVP - press either small button by the display, it shows "puff count" (I use to estimate when to recharge), then changes to voltage setting. Press either button to raise or lower by 0.1 volt. Done.

I use mine with Protanks, T3, Evod, CE5, slim and standard carto tanks. The provided beauty ring makes a good base for the bigger tanks, and other cones can dress it out nicely for whatever top end you like.

My wife loved her ego twists and .8ml ego tanks ....I hounded her for weeks to get a better set up (she'd go through 2-3 900 mah batteries a day). Those are too big...that one's too heavy... etc..etc.. Finally talked her into an MVP at worst it lasts her a day and a half. (she can plug the usb in while at work, small enough to "hide" in her hand (doesn't care for attention) and more durable than anything else in that price point (IMHO).

Myself, I love my Provari and Vamo (I don't care what others may say it looks like) ;p

Congrats on your Vapeversary !!!!!

I'm going to suggest 2 vapor Zeus. Check them out. Ego size monstors. I use carto. Simple and rotate when it's time to recharge. They also passthru if you are around a plug. Look for their supplier daily deals. Change evry day.
More stuff to look at lol. Thank you, honesty. Almost forgot to look at that one :) That's the hard part I MUST look at as many as possible (issues). I can get a provari, but not sure if I can pull the trigger. That's a lot of money. Yet still cheaper than when I smoked. The MVP looks pretty sweet, but I am nervous about the life span of the pack. Oh this is going to be tough...
Baditude, do you have a provape-1 in your collection?

Haha, I feel like I got a bit ahead of myself... Just ordered an MVP for my one month present... Probably buying a reo for six. Lol.

Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 2
Congrats on the month & reward! The reo is a nice sturdy looking mod. Could have a secondary purpose as a self defense weapon. Late night trips to the grocery store would be less creepy ;)

Congrats

I just got a Vamo and an eVic (belated 1 year thing) and like them both. The eVic has some nice toys like 4 presets to set up for certain flavors or times.
You can chalk me up as someone else who generally likes things set within the realm of an eGo-Upgrade battery so my main benefit is the big mods feel right with a 1 day (3ml) tank and batteries last 1-2 days. But variable is nice when you need it. It can take a flavor you can't stand and make it good. Overfill your tank and having a flooding problem, turn it up for a bit, tank running low or not flowing right, turn it down.

The thing I don't like about MVP is you can't change the battery. I can accept I'm throwing away $20 on an eGo battery. That gets harder to accept when it gets to MVP prices.

In theory this is true but in real life there's not much difference between VV and VW you still have to set it to get the best vape when you change resistance of your delivery system of choice.
You really dont have to know the math just start low and work your way up till its doing what you like.

It doesn't matter whether my coil comes out 1.6Ω, 1.8Ω or 2.0Ω in VW it adjusts the voltage to suit the Ω. The only adjusting with VW is when I change flavors or environment (windy vs not, clogged coil vs clean, too full vs not full enough) not resistances.
I really didn't like LR on fixed or VV. I can't say I notice LR with VW and certainly don't notice resistance variances.

I was thinking about this myself when I first saw the MVP. But on the other hand I don't like the idea of replacing batteries. I had a knockoff mp3 player that used a AA battery and I hated switching it out. My current one is rechargeable, which I prefer. I ran across info on the puck mod and realized, if the internal battery on an MVP was the only thing that went wrong, I guess you could transfer everything to a plastic box with a new battery if the MVP can't be opened for some reason. But it is rare that something with components inside is truly permanently sealed.

No, I don't own a Provape-1. It would be a very dependable PV. Likely the safest semi-mechanical mod on the market. Lifetime guarantee. But it is an un-regulated mod; no option to change voltage, and there will be a gradual drop-off in voltage from the time you put in a fresh battery, like any unregulated mechanical mod will have. I would consider it a worthy backup.

It's not for everyone, but I don't think there is a better variable voltage APV made than the Provari. You only need to read all the many reviews of owners to see how happy they are with theirs. It is a long term device. Not only is it extremely durable, consistant, and dependable the company will support it for as long as you own it. (The Chinese mods do not have the hardware/electronic quality of a Provari, nor do they offer post warranty support for their products - once they stop working, consider them a disposable.)

The regulated Provari will give you the same vape from the beginning of a fresh battery until it needs to be changed. Built-in voltage and atomizer meters are extremely convenient. A Provari will accept any juice carrying device (the eGo devices will need an adaptor).

Buy once, cry once - regret it never.

Congrats on your achievement. That's the kind of stories I love to read.
I own a lot of mods. 2 Tesla's. 1 MVP , ( emberessed to say 6 provari's. )
I carry everyday at least my MVP and a couple of provari's. plus my reo grand.
You won't regret getting the MVP. My only problem with it is that it won't check my atty resistance. But last a long time per charge.
I've left out all the me mechanical mods since it wasn't ask. I use to own 2 vamo's but not any more. And remember all this is just my opinion.

Regarding life of the fixed battery...

If the estimate of full recharges - typically 300 or so - is close, and you recharge it three times a week, that's still about 2 years.

By then, the latest and greatest will have sensors on the drip tip to analyze the vapor and fine tune the experience for us, and you'd need to upgrade anyway :thumbs:
