Hi Everyone,

Was looking for an active E-Cigs forum and it looks like I've hit the jackpot with this top looking community!

First off, I am 19 from the UK, I've been a smoker for almost 4 years now and I am on at least 15 roll ups per day. I spend somewhere between £15-20 GBP per week buying tobacco. I'm on work hours of just under full time, so it isn't that easy coping with bills and finding spare cash for tobacco. So, at the end of the month I'm looking at getting my second E-Cigarette and trying the vapor way once again!

I'll talk you through my first attempt - Basically I was still at College, so I was on a very tight budget at the time so I didn't do as much research as I should have, and ended up going with the Innokin 510 PCC I think it was. 1 Month later, this was in the trash as I thought it was no good.

This time round, I am looking for something a bit more advanced that will help me get off the Cigs for good! I've been doing thorough research lately and have a number of options I'd like to go for, it's just deciding which is the best, and the right one to go for. So if you guys can help me out, it would be much appreciated! :) But do bare in mind, I am from the UK and ideally don't want to be paying lots of dosh for international postage!

A few days ago, I was completely set on the GreenSmoke pro kit. The reviews online for GreenSmoke have been nothing but positive. I then looked into it a bit more and realized that I probably wouldn't save much (if any) money by going with GS.

This was when I realized I needed to go for something I can use E-liquid with and refill easily, so the tanks/clearomizers looked like the best option. There's such a wide range of these types of products and I really am struggling for choice:( Here are a few systems I have found, any suggestions would be great!

1. Halo Triton Starter Kit.
I've seen some really positive reviews on this piece of kit, and it looks the part too if I must say. The review for this one on ECCR really got me excited for it. However, this probably wouldn't be my first choice, as I believe this kit is only available on US Based Halo website. Which means I'd have to pay a fair chunk for international postage!

2. Vape Escape 1000 Ultimate
I only found this one an hour or so ago, so I haven't really looked much into it... Anyone know if it's any good? Pro's cons? I like what's included in the kit, I just don't know about the reputation of it or even the reputation of Vape Escape, so a heads up would be good! :)

3. Apollo Superior eGo CE4 Kit
Again, I really really like the look of this one! It's stylish, and has everything I need to get going in the kit. But also again, I don't know too much about the reputation of the product or Apollo themselves, so please do let me know! :D

Those three above are the ones I am considering ATM, any heads up on the above would be appreciated and own experiences would also be helpful!

If you have any other suggestions on a better system, please do let me know as I am still fairly new to all this!

Main factors;
1. Good throat hit
2. Good taste (probably more dependent on the E-liquid)
3. As much Vapor as possible, nice and thick!
4. Budget for kit - £80 GBP MAX
5. Saves money in the future compared to real cigs!!

Sorry for rambling on, just want the best choice possible and hoping you guys can give me a heads up or something!:)

I should probably think about cutting down on the roll ups now as I am looking to purchase a kit with my pay packet at the end of the month. Will probably cut down, and keep smoking till I know for sure I am ready to quit the cancer sticks for good! I really want it!

Thanks for reading, hope some of you can help out and I look forward to posting much more in the future!

Mike.

Personally, I would go with the ego setup as it will give you a better vape than a cig-a-like and have better battery life.

The ego batteries have both 510 and ego connectors so you'll have a wide range of toppers you can use. On the other hand, I believe the Halo triton is 808 threaded which will severely limit your options for toppers.

In addition to the ego kit I would suggest that you try either an evod, mini vision vivi nova, or protank mini to go on top. Mainly because the ce4 clearos are very much hit or miss and not widely liked.

If you want to be a happy vapor, you need to step up just a little higher.
I would suggest a variable voltage battery, like an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner.
Also, the clearomizers in all those kits are basically throw aways. Use them for a week or 2, they tou have to replace the whole thing. Not very economical.
You should get a refillable clearomizer with replaceable coils. One of the most popular is the Kanger ProTank Mini. There are other clearomizers available in the same price range as well.

Good luck to you!

I would suggest you look at the ego-c twist. Variable Volt will help you dial in to your personal taste. Throat hit and vapor production depends a lot on the PG/VG content of the liquid. More VG= more vape cloud. Generally, higher PG content makes for more TH. Ask more specific questions of the people here in regard to the atomizer systems available and eliquids you are thinking about. Do a little more shopping to familiarize yourself and I really do strongly suggest you look at the ego-c twist either in a kit or as part of a kit you assemble yourself.

all three of those are basically the same thing, and ego style battery with a clearomizer tank. the higher the mAh the longer the battery will store a charge before needing to be recharge. They are all a good start to vaping. To find them at the best price, you might want to check out Fast Tech:
https://www.fasttech.com/category/1411/electronic-cigarettes/?e-cigs
or Buy Cheap EGO E-Cigarettes - Brand EGO Electronic Cigarette Kit - Free Shipping
they both are from china, so will have to wait a few weeks for delivery, but free shipping is always good. lol and since you are on a budget.

While at the Fast Tech sight, Search for Vamo and Innokin, to see some decent priced tube mods and box mods, which would be an upgrade from the ego style batteries and work much better. What ever you decide, make sure the product you buy comes with the correct plug for charging, you wouldn't want to end up with a plug for US sockets.

Welcome to the forum, good luck on you Quest for Vapeness!

Vape long and Prosper.

Hey Mike. Been vaping for a few months now and what I would suggest is what I started with. As mentioned above the ego twist variable voltage batteries are a good starting point. Treat it right and it will last, I've had mine for three months and it is still working great. Add a kanger protank on top and you would be in business. As far as juices go taste is subjective. I do not know if they ship to the UK but for e-juice Alien Visions and Ahlusions have some great stuff.

What was mentioned above.. Stay away from those kits you were looking at it you mean business. You should go Atleast with a bison spinner or ego twist and some better attachment than the ce4. A protank a vivi nova anything will be better for you.

But if you really mean business you might as well jump into a real variable voltage mod ie. vamo, svd, things like that. Good luck!

I bought the Smokers Angel Halo Ultra Tank kit a week ago (basically an eGo clone) it came with the CE5 clearos (3 of them) and although I do intend on keeping them, I'm a bit less than convinced about the quality. I started a thread yesterday (Clearo or Carto) and have had some amazing advice on what tanks are best. I settled on the Evod, which should be with me by the end of the week (depending on Royal Mail. I ordered it from Vape Escape, along with a 5ml sample bottle of caramel cappacino juice, and it set me back about £10 odd. Will let you know how the Evod works out when i get it! Also considering the Mini Pro Tank II as well, so if all goes well I'll keep you posted on the two!

Hope your vaping goes well!

Hey there BCFCMike, and welcome to the ECF,
Any of the three are a good starting point, you may want to upgrade the "tanks" later on....
With a few more posts, you should be able to check out the UK forum.
UK Forum
You may find others there,
that can point you in the direction they went with the ordering of their set ups. :)

MVP 2.0 starter kit. Cheap..I got my friend one last night for like $60-70 US, doesn't have crappy threads like vamo, lasts a long time with a charge, usb bypass charging..use it while you charge it, and it doesn't look like a dildo. I like my dildo mods though..but with the MVP kit, you have everything you need to start, and you can add whatever other type of delivery systems you want for the price of just a lower end tube mod+batteries+charger+one clearomizer or carto-tank.

Ego-C's and spinners are great too. I'd prefer the spinner, only because the numbers are easier to read on the dial. I'd get at least two of them though. Since you can't use it while you charge..and once you have a variable voltage PV, it's hard to use anything else, unless you get into mechanicals, but for the price of two spinners, you can get the MVP kit...so what direction do you think I'd lean towards?

Cheers for the feedback everyone, I'll scrap those three in the OP then :D

Ideally, I'd like it to come as a kit rather than buying everything separately... With exceptions to extra/better clearomizers.

So after a quick look around, I've found the following;

Vision Spinner Mini Nova Kit 650

eVic Kit by Joyetech

How're those two?

Halo - seems high priced for 650mAH fixed batteries
appollo - better. bigger batteries, don't know if they're any good. still fixed batteries. The CE4 atomizer is about the cheapest one there is ($4 each)
vape escape - Joyetech makes great batteries. much better than unknowns. still not VV. vision atomizer is a good brand but they are still cheap

If I were starting over, here's what I'd get. I used Altsmoke but the only thing I'm attached to there is the nova. There's so many and I know it's good, Shop around

Joye 1000 mAH twist = $27
Joye 650 mAH twist = $24
Vivi nova mini clearomizer (comes with 3 heads) = $8
Usb charger and wall adapter = $15 -these will definitely be cheaper elsewhere
TOTAL = $74
$5 less if you go with the spinner battery instead of the twist
EDIT: forgot the thread cover - $2

It's more expensive than the ones you listed but you WILL be happy with it.

Fasttech has low prices. I just placed an order. They do have some junk, so only get stuff with a lot of good reviews. Delivery time sucks.

as for uk suppliers check out
Forum Suppliers List
there's probably some there
and the positive and negative review forums

I think you would be happy with either one

eVic is larger I think. Dunno about the atomizer. The replaceable battery would be a big plus for me

Of your 3 choices
#2 for the win
Batteries will do the job
Clearos are CE5 type - Serviceable, easily cleaned and heads can be replaced as needed.

I moved to a similar setup early on and after a year, all pieces are still in working order. I have moved up to APV's but do still use them on occasion and can count on them as good back up units.
I'd steer clear of anything including CE4(disposable) tanks or any proprietary devices. You get locked in to what they offer only.

Hi BCFC, Welcome to the ECF. I have had good experiences with Liberty Flights E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings and they do have a U.K. distributor/site. They also offer a 20%off running coupon(in the top left corner of their site) they do keep the eGo sized kits(similar to the eGo /CE4 kit you had listed in your original post) as well as advanced units from the LavaTube(replaceable battery model) to the Zmax...the Zmax kit would be horribly stretching your budget to get you anything for toppers and liquids........ If I was holding to your budget (and felt I wanted to have an advanced unit) I would opt or the LT model and get the batteries and accessories that would get you going......

There are many other reputable vendors on your side of the pond, and the U.K. forum would be a great place to do some more research before you go and pull the trigger on your next purchase. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
