I just got my 306 form smokelessdelite (premo) it worked great the first couple of drags but then got realy hot and i noticed the atty was glowing last night, it had a horrible taste and was very very very harsh on my throat, like it hurt,
I read some other posts and it seems that it definetely was from the poly fiber that got stuck on the atomizer, i couldn't believe how much was stuck in there,

I started using the tea bag mod, and so far it seems to be working much better, my only concern is that I am a newbie so I don't really know the difference, it doesnt hurt my throat anymore and the taste is way better. so I assume i did it right,

My question is, how bad for you is smoking the poly, cause i smoked quite a bit of it last night?

first thing...that's not just the poly, that could be overheated metal, residue from the juice, etc. no real way to describe that taste...other than 'acrid.'

yeah it's bad. that's what happens when you're dry :) you want to avoid that. first sign of any bad taste, add some drops.

one thing, most people prefer to "mouth inhale" rather than straight to the lungs. i don't know why, but i tend to get better taste and results that way, and i don't get that nasty taste as often. plus it's a smaller inhale, so you haven't filled your lungs with that nasty burny vapor inadvertently, only to find out on the exhale how bad it was.

but...it's all preference anyway.

storing liquids..."cool, dark place."

there's plenty of argument about fridge or no fridge, but people will at least agree to keep them out of sunlight or heat, or direct light. i personally have my excess in the fridge, and the stuff i use regularly in a lockbox and cigar box.

one of our members also had an experience with "cold" juice from the fridge that had lost taste. seems like the mix may separate a bit, so if you keep it cold, let it warm up to room temp before using it, just in case, or you might come across the same prob.

Just for fun you might try "dipping" your 306 -- remove all material from the cartridge, then dip the atomizer directly in some juice, reassemble, and inhale. (A contact lens case works great for this.) It's good for a handful of good hits, minus any cartridge to deal with. The atomizer is one of the nice features of the 306 because it's exposed rather than recessed.

Hi SquirrilahFish,
I hope you've worked out your flames with the help from other forum members and their great suggestions.

Just a thought -
Many of us are working hard to keep e-cigs available... We're giving out info on this forum and other links - often to strangers and the general public who may have never heard of e-cigs.

As a journalist I truly do appreciate bold headlines that catch attention AND
knowing there are many new people reading these boards it's great when they dont' see things that suggest physical harm and danger associated with the products.

Again - I get the 'attention - I need help!' concept
AND maybe realizing that a headline or thread title can be toned down a bit and still receive the response you want....

Just a thought.
Hey - have a great weekend!

Hey - have a great weekend!

you ever had the experience he's talking about? it is mind-numbingly horrible. first time i had it happen i felt like i swallowed sulphur, my eyes were watering, and i couldn't take a breath between coughing.

it's a strange day when i see a journalist tell someone that their headline is a bit too "sensational."

just sayin.

yes - I'm familiar with the feeling - and yes it does feel as he says.

Sometimes my posts are mis-interpreted so I've been practicing making them more friendly;)

AND - there really are people looking for info that 'proves' the 'dangers' of vaping.... just read the comments on the Digg site from people attempting to convince readers of the harm involved in vaping.

So - hey - anyone is welcome to post what they want. That's why my 'opinion' was labelled as 'just a thought' - something to consider as we put ourselves at the forefront of what could become a 'battle' for our rights.

I know if the first post I saw about vaping had that title I would have been a bit concerned about it.

Have a great weekend!

If your atomizer really got that hot, then you it could be that your juice was getting too hot which could have caused the very harsh throat hit. For example, the 510 manual battery produces a harsher throat hit even when used with a 306 atomizer. And I believe the reason for that is that the manual battery allows you to get the atomizer hotter.

I read some other posts and it seems that it definetely was from the poly fiber that got stuck on the atomizer, i couldn't believe how much was stuck in there.
If there was THAT much stuck there, it's most likely that it was not poly fiber. More likely that you are looking at the wicking material attached to the atomizer bridge, which is supposed to be there.

oops double post, sorry im still getting used to this forum,

but repetition is helpful to "those people" LOL

My name:
When i was in grade school me and my friend were obsesed with the movie BIO-DOME, so over the yrs my nickname became squirrel, (my friend was stubby)
after I moved to hawaii, when i would go swim, and surf and stuff like that, because i smoked I would be out of breath alot and grunt very loadly in the water, my local friend out here said to me infront of everyone, "oh braddah u sound like one gorilla fish" so the name is kind of a combo of where ive been and where i am,

Great story.

I usually enjoy coming up with my own stories regarding the origins of other's usernames. Kinda like deciphering vanity plates.

But yours was just too much for me lol, no offense but it just cracked me up so I hadta ask. :D

So thanks for the insight SquirrilahFish and here's to good vape...
