I've tried everything in the troubleshooting guide posted on this forum, yet I still get 4 misfires out of every 5 tries. The vaping is so inconsistent with my V2 that I find myself going back to my V1 and leaving the V2 mostly unused. It seems I have to mash the button hard in order to get a proper hit.

I don't know what to do to fix it. Tried everything.

Rod - Couple more things to try that are not in the guide.

1) Take the button apart. On the button you will find a tiny gasket between the contact disk and button lip. Take it off (with a paperclip or tweezers, etc...) then give it a shot.

2) Get a size #60 O-Ring from Home Depot/Lowes ($1.79 for a 10-pack) and put that on. Tight fit, so it may take you a bit to get it on there.

Overall, we have seen the little latex gaskets take on quite a bit of heat. Sometimes they warp, other times they don't. Replacing with something sturdier should really help!

I know what you mean. Mine has been retired to the drawer. I just don't think I should have to fiddle with something I bought just to get it to work. I would send it back, but it works 25% of the time, and I know good and well it would work when they got it. Just like the sound your car doesn't make as soon as you get to the garage to have it worked on.

I might have to go get a bag tonight or tomorrow

Remember ... Your switches have limited lifetime warranties guys ...

If you are EVER (today/tomorrow/12 years from now -- assuming we are still in business) not happy with the way its performing, shoot it back to use, and I would be happy to take a look at it ... Replace what needs to be replaced, update what needs to be updated, and clean what needs to be cleaned :)

DISCLAIMER -- I do not clean junked up and nasty adapters == YUCK! Seen many of those in my days and I refuse to even touch them!

:) haha

I have had the V2 for about 4 days and starting encountering the same issue for the last 2 days. I would say 60-70% chance of the V2 being activated. What I did, I took the button apart, and wrapped dental floss around the top part of the button. The section where the rubber o-ring used to be...once I put about 1-2mm, I would put everything back. Including the o-ring. That would push the entire setup 1-2 mm further down.

That seems to help on the activation. Next time I go to Home Depot I will buy the #60 o-ring.

yup, that is what several people have done unkuser :)

As an FYI - The ones shipped with units now are these: If you don't feel like going to home depot, your can always order online! If you prefer 1mm or 1.5mm or 2mm ... You can do whatever thickness you think you'd like!

McMaster-Carr

100 for less than $5 :)

Steve,

Just a suggestion but why don't you send out the three different size o-rings with all new orders that way the customer has the option.

How do you suggest cleaning all the gunk out the the adapters?

Because 95% of Prodigy V2 buyers wouldn't know what to do with them ;) Remember, not everyone is as technically skilled as you and me Harpo ...

Cleaning Adapters = Soaking in Vinegar :)

Although, I have never personally let mine get that far :) I get some adapters back that are completely black - No brass to be seen. Full of nastyness ... Never cleaned a day in their life :) Kind of like washing a car - Some people never do it, while others do it every other day ;) I keep my PV equipment in tip top shape .... Wipe down threads atleast 2 times every day, blow out excess liquid from my atomizer so it doesn't end up in the canal of the adapter, etc...

Are those 2 steps for a single solution, or are they 2 separate solutions?
