This is my story on vaping.
I was smoking 1 and a half packs a day. I had no desire to quit smoking and really enjoyed smoking. My wife had asked me a few times if I had ever thought about stopping and I said no. I saw an online ad about e-cigs and thought that I would investigate what it was all about. I had also heard some smoke assist adds on the radio. Well after some research (before I found ECF forum) I bought a premium E-cigarette kit from www.premiumecigarette.com. It is a kr808 clone. I immediately liked it and and have not smoked since. I then realized that I needed to get some more supplies before I ran out and would have to go back to analogs I ordered 2 batteries and some cartomizers from vaporkings.com along with some liquid to try. I also included a disposable from them at the same time. I did not know that it was a 510 at the time. I kept the disposable as a standby device should my 808 die. Well I got antsy one day and decided that I had to try the disposable. I really liked the 510 . Taste and vapor where much better. That was when I decided that I needed an 510 also. I then bought a usb pass-through for my 808 so that I could use it in the car and at home so I would save my batteries to use at work and around the farm. I then found The ECF Library and forum. This helped me a lot. I then bought an adapter to use the disposable 510 atty on my 808 batteries. Wow what a difference. About that time I found that I had to refill the 808 cartomizers way to often and started looking for something better. I wanted more vapor and flavor. I was also starting to miss my old analog friends. I had gone a month and was determine to make this work. After much search and internal debate, I decided that I wanted Long battery life and consitant vapor production. I knew by now that I wanted a 510 by now but needed long battery life. My shopping /research led me to the wicked tornado. I bought a kit and and was in love with it. I screwed up and burnt the atty on my pass through. So I was back on the search for something more reliable. I saw things about ce2 cartomizers and felt that I had to have some. The problem was that no one had them in stock. Bummer! Finally I found that vapor junction had some in stock. I order 10 510 and 5 808. All I can say is that this is great. I have only had them for about a week and this is my feelings so far. Vapor and taste are great. Vapor falls off after 4 or 5 refills. This was caused by crud build up.
I remedied this by taking all 3 caps out and cleaning with water, blowing out and then doing a dry burn(may not be the best thing to do but it worked). My thought is that it was not working well so what was the harm. That did the trick and it was like new again. I have been using Tasty Vapor and buy 1 ounce 48mg and 4 ounce doubler. This last me about a month. I have kept track my expenditures($491.40) and have saved $169.60 after 91 days as opposed to the $661.00 I would have spent on regular cigarettes.
What I would do different with my present knowledge. I would have started with the wicked liquid tornado 510 and the 510 ce2 cartomizers . the kr808 is also great with the ce2 cartomizers. The tornado has better battery life but the 808 is good with the PCC for taking out for the day. 91 days no smoking and am now ready to start trying more flavors.
I have been using menthol since I was a menthol smoker. Dont like strawberry or watermelon. All I can say is read DonDaBoomVapes The Wonderful World of Vaping: An Illustrated Guide to E-cigs. Get a good battery and ce2 cartos.
