It bums me out. It smells of burnt electronics. Luckily I have a couple of backups until I can afford a replacement.
My VTR dies last night

Can you please describe the failure as it occurred? Any oddities prior to complete failure? Any telltale signs of approaching failure? I use one almost exclusively & would like to know before it craps out on me. Thanx in advance for any info you can provide.
No real symptoms. I was using a 1.5 ohm coil at 10 watts and it started having a burnt electronic smell. Then it stopped producing. The indicator light would be normal for a couple of seconds then get brighter. Still reads ohms and such.
Luckily, with as much overtime as I've been getting at work(I install central heating and air conditioning), I was able to get a new mod. This time I went with a Volcano Lavatube.
Forgot to mention. My VTR was five months old. Not too happy about the life of the unit for the cost. My lavatube has a 1 year warranty.

That sucks my vtr is about 4 months old and having trouble (inconsistent ohm readimg issue) and had an issue similar to yours but still chugging along. The vape had become unreliable and inconsistent so I gave in and went provari (tried mechs but wasn't a big fan).
