My way of eliminating spit back...

I'm talking mostly squonking, but it will apply to dripping to.
I've tried many things, and up to now winding the cotton really tight worked best for me but I still got the odd surprise.
What I discovered lately illiminated spitback completely for me.
What I do is after a good squonk, I just give the fire button a quick hit. That immediately busts all the trapped bubbles and gets rid of the excess liquid on the cotton. It basically sucks it into the cotton. Then a slight prime or a soft suck gets rid the minute amount of vape from the fire and i'm good to go. That works every time i over squonk..which happens all to often.

Interesting and thanks for the post.

The only times I've experienced spitting was when I hadn't put enough wicking material into the coil.

I haven't done your quick fire after a vape at my squonkers but I do give them a light squeeze before I put them down to keep the wicks moist; there's likely no logic in the way I do it, but I have to say it's a very long time since I've had spitting coils.
