Been reading this thread... Bahahahaha love it!

I've been married 28 years and I get an allowance, my cash to do with whatever I want. I don't have to ask for money, he pays the bills with my check as well, it all goes into one of our two accounts, I work full time been working most of our 28 years. I've saved my own allowance money and bought the designer stuff, I have a nice collection... I save to get what I want and I shop on the internet auction sites, I sell things I don't want to friends... I hardly ever buy new stuff...
When we got married so long ago I thought it was so stupid to ask for money to buy his Christmas gift. I actually hated that! So we discussed it, and our allowance covered gas, analogs, & extras... It's budgeted.
Recently, I've quit analogs and asked my DH if I could have the money I was spending on analogs To help cover my vaping hobby. We made a deal, it was less than my analog money but enough of an increase to help me pay for my new hobby, vaping as long as I don't get crazy with the shiny's ;-)
I don't buy from B&M much, we have a great local guy who keeps his prices ok for the unnamed egos, attys, and backup stuff if you can't wait.
If I buy something for my vaping hobby I usually will get him something too, and tell him about why I bought it. He quit analogs years ago (8) but was smoking cigars. He's been vaping as well because he don't want to smoke his cigars in the house. But since I started vaping he has too!
Just yesterday in my Vapemail I bought him a SVD, 2 tanks, batteries, and chargers he the whole set up as well as one for myself... I make him his own juices, I've ordered some flavors he might like.
I have 3 other family members who vape and they teach me so much. They are addicted to the FT site and DIY juices, they know what works for what and what to spend my money on... they have a nice collection of mods from the FT site, and pretties.
My DH is just so happy I've quit the analogs I don't think he cares what I spend money on... And it is nice to buy him shiny's too!

Oh by the way, I'm on the purse & jeans forums also, and your S.O.'s are doing the same things... Sending their purchases to work addresses, putting the purchases on credit cards you don't know about, and hiding them in the closets... The same as you! JM2C! Ok, now I've just spoiled it!

When she starts in with "BUT YOU said that you were gonna SAVE money, blah-blah-blah." You simply hold your hand up in a lordly fashion, and declare, "My health is of paramount importance, under no circumstances can I cut spending at this time." If she has not already conceded defeat, return to some task as if the debate is over, for it is.

At least 2 of my 3 exes would have handed me a pack of analogs to end this argument.

IM married but single. No I dont cheat but I travel for work so we are always missing each other. My wife dose not grip at me about anything. She also encourages my vaping and thinks my mod collection is cool ( well shes a good liar and acts interested) I am very lucky and am happy with my wife in everyway.

I do have to agree with whoever said that, in a strange way, all you married folk are lucky that you have someone to curb your spending, though. Being single and the master of my own financial domain, I've managed to spend what many here would consider to be an obscene amount on vape gear/juices over the last 3 months, the vast majority of which I don't even use except very occasionally (or have given away).

Just the other day, I bought a silver Smoktech SiD at 50% off. I've never even had any desire for a Smoktech SiD (and, even if I did, it wouldn't be in silver - the most boringest mod color on the planet), but I just couldn't pass it up for $27.

Wow...it's always interesting when an old thread gets resurrected...even more so when it's one of mine!

Let's see...since I first posted this I now have three vape meets under my belts, the Provari sits unused (but not unloved) next to the Zenesis I purchased at VapeStock (also unused). My current rotation is a Magneto (purchased at VapeExpo) which I use for a dedicated dripper and three Reo Grands (Three! Why the heck did I think I needed three? 'Cause they're Reos that's why...).

So, while the whole allowance thing is working out pretty good (my wife doesn't even open my packages anymore...as long as it doesn't show up on the bank statement she's happy) things are back to being a little tight. My daughter just started college and my truck died. Fortunately we had a backup vehicle but the engine cradle dropped off that while crossing a busy intersection (how I made it across and into the median with no steering is beyond me) so now we're down to one vehicle.

Sigh...I need a vape.

I can buy as much as I can sneak in without my husband knowing is my mantra! LOL

I got a feeling ill be getting a telling of from hubby soon, as I just forked out for a SID, and now my ego twist seem inadequate on so many levels that im looking to change that to another mod, prop different model. He even told me off for "borrowing" one his drippers as it don't fit on his mod. I cant do with out at least two decent batteries (mods) got to be able to change flavour with out changing the cartomizer all the time. I don't see a problem
