She uses a standard clearomizer i think at 1.7ohm and due to the hard drag of them i switched her to a bottom "wickus my local vendor calls them" and she just not loving it. Changing her to jsut cartos wont happen or the prefilled ones if she has to monkey with it its out. i also go through those boge cartos in 2-3 days top thats why i dont like them maybe user error but whatever if ound my set up just looking for the wife to be happy.

Happy mama happy home!!!!!!

I am a newbie to vapiing and enjoy the experience. I have had my set backs but work through them but my wife is about over it she doesnt really want to put for the effort to see what will work for her so i am stuck trying to figure it out. I have a VV/ VW Vamo and carto tanks that i love and she has a standard ego battery (1000) and used to use the standard clearomizers and hated them and now uses a Kanger bottom feed tank with a menthol juice. She is not happy with the pull or drag the system has and hardly any vapor production. She doesnt like tanks so that is out of the question but any suggestions?

Hey man !........

Yeah i don't know if anyone else has mentioned what i am going to say because i haven't read through all the comments. The thing with the kanger bottom feeder is it has three holes for airflow. Three is normally too many for most people and taking a draw on it as it is means you run out of breath before you get enough vapour. You need to block one or even two of the holes in the skirt of the kanger base (i plug the holes with blue tack). I am pretty sure this is the problem. That's all i've got my rock n roll brother !.

I have the opposite "problem" believe it or not.
The hubby does not like to mess with anything either.

Now, we both started with the cigalikes. He hated it. I wanted something more.... vapor/taste/throat hit, and started doing the research.

Moved up to eGos, then VV and various things until I got to rebuildables.

I personally, and this is just me, have never had much luck or like with cartos, clearomizers, vivi's etc.
My best vape has been with mechanicals and mesh rebuildables.

The hubby, I tried cartos, cartos and tanks. He killed them within 2 days tops.
Tried cartos/tanks on a ProVari. He killed them within 2 days, and I don't know what he was doing with the button, but was constantly turning the "power" up or down. I guess he would "double click" the button.

The eGo tanks would burn on him. Same with me, and the clearos and vivi's.

Both of you may be too new to vaping to want to deal with mesh rebuildables, but you may want to do some reading on them and think about them.
Once you have them set up right, the same set up can last for months with just juice refills.

In the meantime, there are bottom coil vivi/clearomizer types out there that may work better for you.
I had better luck with brand name rather just "any" clearomizer.

Kudos to all you spouses, bf/ gf that go the extra mile to help your SOP
Unsung Heroes IMO.

3 days was pretty standard for me as well but it's a consumable and I never really expected them to last longer than that. Boiling them and reusing them is way to much of a time-sink to be worth my time. I'm in love with my Vivi so I'm going to keep going back to that as a recommendation sir with a 1.8ohm head. ;-)

just keep trying different things, you'll find something.

Its funny i use a carto tank with a 3 ohm single coil and it last 7-10 days or longer with the same carto and same jucie. will the vive work well with a standard 3.7 1000mah ego or should i buy her a twist. she hates it when i by extra stuff she wasnt thrilled when i came home with my vamo and a couple of tanks but it is what i wanted and it works great for me

In my experience the "carto tank with a 3 ohm single coil" is going to last longer because it is constantly kept moist and is a beefier coil. when the regular carto starts to dry out and you are still vaping is when it burns up the most.

The Vivi with the 1.8ohm head will work just fine with an eGo, I only recommended the twist because it's a consistent hit. The regular battery will go from about 4 or 4.2 volts when fully charged to 3 volts (i think) when low. The twist just maintains the same (or roughly the same) voltage from beginning to end. I only recommended it because consistency might make things easier on you and keep her happy.

My husband just kept moving on to new things and I would try each step of the way. When we stepped up to clearomizers on an eGo twist I was satisfied and thought he was being ridiculous researching the rebuildables. I didn't understand why he would want to have to mess with all that fiddling around. Then he bought an IGO-L rebuildable dripper and I loved it. He would build the coils because I didn't want to mess with it. A month ago he taught me how to make my own coil and I'm comfortable with that. I hated the look and heft of any of the mechanical mods he brought in the house until he brought in a TEC telescope. I stole it :p. If she's honestly interested in making the switch she will. She might just be feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.

This exactly. The Kanger T3 is a great tank, but the 3 airholes at the bottom just make it too, too airish... The blue tack sound decorative, I may try that... so far I have success with breaking off the tip of a wooden toothpick in two of the three holes (try it on just one of the holes first and see if that's the right amount for her - if not, break the other tip of the toothpick off in a second hole). That may be all she needs to enjoy the nice T3s that she has. :)

...and to give credit where credit is due, I learned the toothpick tip right here on ECF, too :)

Now see, for me, I can't stand the draw on cartos/clearos/vivi's.
They are all too tight of a draw.

There are inexpensive rebuildables that use either silica or mesh. I have tried a few, and didn't care for the tighter draw, as the air hole in the caps were smaller than the hybrids I am used to. But... they were better than cartos.

And honestly, once you find a set up you are happy with, most of us really do stop looking.
And then there's those of us who buy just to try out the next "greatest thing".

Consider what she wants. Many women prefer simple when it comes to devices/comfort/use.
650 or 900 twist - only to get proper output
Try the Kanger with 1 then 2 holes blocked (tip of tooth pick) to find comfortable draw. Vapor will increase with the change.
Purchase her favorite flavors in a 50/50 or higher VG mix to boost the visible Vapor. For many the cloud is a comfort placebo.

My wifes first words we - I like smoking don't try to make me quit. I smiled and said I understand.
She still smokes, but often has a ego 650/ce2 (that I fill) with her favorite - Key lime pie.
Works for me:D

Hi there

I know the feeling your wife is having because I had the same problem. Didn't like the amount of vapor I was gettign or the taste or even how it was working, so what i did is went to my best friend. He told me about the E-vic as well as using a genisis style atomizer. I love both products. I also really like carto's as well adn use the 1ml to the 3 ml size depending on where I am going. As the one guy said as for vapor she could try something with more VG in it. Works alot better. I love Gentlemans reserve all the time and I find they carry all the right flavors for me and the vapor is great.

I have only used a couple of the just cartos and not real impressed with them. Maybe im using them wrong but not real satisfied with them ii dont think she would take the time to fill it and if it floods i would never hear the end of it. When you use attys i have heard and watched you tube videos on people using them but are they a pain to keep filling them. I have only found one juice i like and add concentrate flavors to change up the taste. a lot of juices i have tried have given me headaches or really bad throte hits whichi dont like. like i said we have only been vaping ofr 4 months but havent gone back to any analogs so i am happy for that plus i have got my mother in law who smoked for 30+ years to quit and vape and half a dozen other friends to quit. doing my part
