I got it today, really nice, not heavy. I got the black one with the smoke on it.
I charged up the batteries, then I had to go back to Drew's website because I couldn't figure out which way the bats went in. I put my nice broken-in, wet 901 atomizer on it. I had the cap on tight with my 2x 3.0 volts, to make 5 volts. I put it to my lips. I was holding my breath, didn't want to just jump in, I wanted to savor the moment. I pressed the button and inhaled. It was really disgusting and burnt, had me coughing. I loosened the plastic cap 2 turns. OMG!!!!!! Such thick nice real warm vapor. I think my 3.7 ecigs will have to go in a drawer. I am vaping MVS Butterscotch which has been my favorite for 6 months. What a pleasure.
But wait, that nasty taste is coming back. I tighten the cap back to all the way again. SWEET!!! Wonderful!!!!. I don't know why I had to loosen it at first, then tighten it afterwards to avoid that too-hot vape. But it's a DREAM now.
The vape is to die for. 5 volt is absolutely perfect. I used to have to chain vape with my 3.7 ecigs. With this Xhaler at 5 volts, I can't chain vape. I can only take a drag every few minutes because it's too much nicotine to vape more often. And my drags are only 3 seconds now, too much vapor otherwise.
Aside from being the perfect vape, the Xhaler is a very simple design, meaning it would be real easy to fix if need be. I appreciate that.
The only thing I would caution is the atty gets hot quicker than on a regular ecig. But it's okay with me since I can't chain vape this thing anyway. It takes me 3 seconds or less on this Xhaler to get more vapor than drawing 5-7 seconds on the regular ones.
Drew, I am extremely happy with this Xhaler. Couldn't be happier. Thankyou!

So when you order an XHALER you choose which voltage model that you want, 3.7v, 5v, 6v, or 7.4v?
There is some kind of a plastic cap used for adjusting the hit?
Why isn't a 510 atty option offered, is it because 510's don't perform well at higher voltages?
Which atty is better at 5v, the 901 or the 801?
It comes with a 901 and an 801 adapter?
What type of batteries does it use at 5v?
What are the dimensions of this mod?

Hey Lubes,

I'm still waiting for my Xhaler to arrive (I ordered it Tuesday and it shipped the same day!) Would have probably gotten it today if not for this being a postal Holiday :p

Anyway, this link should answer most of your questions:

NHaler ? The XHALER Guide

Oh yeah, and altsmoke.com sells adapters to vape 510 attys on 801 batteries. They work great. And, I know several people that vape 510s at 5v all the time...

"The XHALER unit comes with an 801 tip and a 901 tip." A 510 atty option is offered. See the "Add Tips" pull-down option. [NOTE: First, you need to select "Add XHALER Charger and Batteries" (which includes a "Do not purchase" option).]

The base $75 unit enables use at any of those voltage levels. If you already have 3.7V and/or 3.0V batteries and chargers, you don't need to order either of the $18 battery/charger packages. For use with the 510, you do need to order the $12 tip for it.

I think the link provided by JimMitchell answers your other questions.

I am new to e-cigs and am currently smoking a L88b that I bought at the local mall. At least I think it is a L88b.
I am a heavy smoker and would like to get a better throat hit than what I am getting on the cig I am smoking now. I am thinking of ordering a xhaler.

A couple of questions from those of you who smoke them.

How long does the charge left if you just order one set of batteries? How long do they take to charge.
If I order the unit the charger with batteries and some 901 atomizers is that all I need to smoke it? (I have juice)

What is the difference between the 3.7 and the 3.0 which is best since they both cost the same?

Thanks

Good question, dgriego, I'd also like to know how the charge is. 75 bucks is kind of a lot for a couple of batteries in a tube...but if it works like the video I just saw posted by needvapor, I'm in. I have 510 atomizers (and I just ordered more...need to wait a while before splurging on more equipment), but I wonder how well they work.

Just as a sidebar, I used my old Blu atomizers (the only good thing in the Blu set, other than the PCC) on my 510 batteries...it worked quite well for dripping. HOWEVER, some of them got sort of melted. No joke, the sides on some of them look dented in, but they still work. Still. I'm amazed. Anyway, my 510 batteries are not all they were cracked up to be. I can burn through a fully charged (regular, not mega) battery in about 15 minutes of chain vaping.

So Cal
dgriego,
I've had the xhaler for about a month. Was using 501's and 801's ecigs (3.7volts).

Figuring out the battery configuration was confusing to me too.
I have used the 2-3volt batteries and the single 3.7 large 1800 mah setup.

The 2-3volt setup gives you 5 and 6 volt option.
The 3.7 single battery gives you long battery life (all day for me) at 3.7 volts.
You can use 2-3.7 volt batterys for 7.4volts too. I haven't tried this option. You may want to get high volt attomizers to vape at 7.4 volts.

Xhaler comes with an 801 and a 901 atomizer cap.

Here's xhaler's instruction link:
NHaler ? The XHALER Guide

Nhalers Forum link (for more info):
Nhaler - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

I can get about 4-5 hours vaping at 5 and 6 volts. I use 801 atomizers, which you can adjust draw by loosing the atomizer a bit. I tried the 501 but it seems to be a little harsh for me at 5 volts.

Since you have a 3.7 volt device already, go for the 2-3volt setup and vape at 5 and 6 volts. You will love 5 volts. I start at 5 volts, then as the batts get weaker, loosen the end cap to change to 6 volts.

Caution: With new charged batt's, you may want to start with a used atty on 5 volts, make sure it's wet. I blew 2 801 attys the first try, once batts settled down, havn't blown any more.

Hope this helps ya.

Boy oh Boy - and I thought I was gonna save money on top of quitting the cigs - geeeshhh - not happening so far -- I ordered a SD from Trog in the UK - got impatient waiting over the holiday for it to come, so I ordered the new SD MK II from TW -- and of course here they both come the same day. The sad thing is - now I'm guessing I need the higher voltage as you have here - I love the feel and looks of the SD - BUT I have GOT to have some more punch when I draw - I'm at 36mg and I'll get one good throat hit - then NOTHING for several more unless I put it down for a while. It sounds like the Xhaler is what I need and the 5 - 6 volt sounds like it'll really do the job. Darn, there goes another 100 bucks or so. I do have a ton of empty carts and DSE 901 atomizers, so I'm thinking all I need to order is the xhaler, a charger, and a couple of batteries. Does that sound about right ?
Looks and feel are not a big deal to me - as long as I can get that good throat hit - more vapor is a bonus to.

Thanks for the review ! You've sold me - I've already gone to the site and will probably place an order over the weekend !

I think I will go ahead and order one this weekend - but do you happen to know if the DSE 901 atty will work on this - I have a ton of those and the 901 carts - sure would save me some money if I didn't have to buy those to.

Thanks - Tom
