My XHALER
I got it today, really nice, not heavy. I got the black one with the smoke on it.
I charged up the batteries, then I had to go back to Drew's website because I couldn't figure out which way the bats went in. I put my nice broken-in, wet 901 atomizer on it. I had the cap on tight with my 2x 3.0 volts, to make 5 volts. I put it to my lips. I was holding my breath, didn't want to just jump in, I wanted to savor the moment. I pressed the button and inhaled. It was really disgusting and burnt, had me coughing. I loosened the plastic cap 2 turns. OMG!!!!!! Such thick nice real warm vapor. I think my 3.7 ecigs will have to go in a drawer. I am vaping MVS Butterscotch which has been my favorite for 6 months. What a pleasure.
But wait, that nasty taste is coming back. I tighten the cap back to all the way again. SWEET!!! Wonderful!!!!. I don't know why I had to loosen it at first, then tighten it afterwards to avoid that too-hot vape. But it's a DREAM now.
The vape is to die for. 5 volt is absolutely perfect. I used to have to chain vape with my 3.7 ecigs. With this Xhaler at 5 volts, I can't chain vape. I can only take a drag every few minutes because it's too much nicotine to vape more often. And my drags are only 3 seconds now, too much vapor otherwise.
Aside from being the perfect vape, the Xhaler is a very simple design, meaning it would be real easy to fix if need be. I appreciate that.
The only thing I would caution is the atty gets hot quicker than on a regular ecig. But it's okay with me since I can't chain vape this thing anyway. It takes me 3 seconds or less on this Xhaler to get more vapor than drawing 5-7 seconds on the regular ones.
Drew, I am extremely happy with this Xhaler. Couldn't be happier. Thankyou!

seminolewind, my guess is the 1st burnt taste was battery related and the 2nd was the atty drying out. I often get the burnt taste when taking first inhale with freshly charged batteries. It has sopmething to do with the protection circuit not kicking in for the 1st second. This results in too much voltage and heat in the atty. I've just started to take a quick "primer puff" without inhaling immediately following a battery change. When you've been vaping a while and then get the burnt taste, be sure to stop, drop & refill :) These xhalers, like all HV mods, sure are HUNGRY for juice!!! At the first hint of heat, vapor decrease or burnt taste I immediately stop and put 2 drops on the atty and top off my cart. I still haven't lost a single atty! (knocks on wood which is actually particle board)

I know LOL I have so many now I cant get them all into my sig, it tells me I have to many characters, so any new ones wont be added .. I just collect them, I guess a hobby, but I do vape them all in rotation, they all have unique things about them that is useful at different times, I like all of them! :)

Eclypse, that is such old news!!!!!!! LOL. I have been using blue foam for 7 months now. I did try it with the spring but went back to my full plug. I love the blue stuff. But thanks for letting me know! Everyone should know!

Didnt know the blue foam mod was around that long.. my mod is different. Kinda funny no one thought of it before me.

Nice post...I remember that first puff you described...I am also finding myself taking 2 to 3 second draws now and still blow a nice amount of vapor with good flavor as well...I have definatley burndt less carts with Eclypses method of packing the carts...Although it was the first time I used the Blue foam, I thought I had packed a cart every way concievable until using his method....

Yea that blue sponge aquarium filter stuff is good. I tried Eclipse's way, spring holding foam up, reservour under, but I either got alot of leakage or not enough juice flow. So I went back to what I was doing, a 901 cart, I cut the foam 1/2 inch wide, get it down without scrunching, and cut the top even. After refilling a few times, it's great and broken in. Forms a little pouch at the top and never gets stuck to the atty, LOL.

Up in Vapor, you're 100% right. I never get my atty dry or too hot, and they usually last 3-4 months. This may be a juice hog, but I am actually using less juice because the vapor is so much and so thick. I think it's more efficient than my 3.7 volt, and utilizing the nicotine alot better, now I have to cut down on nicotine cause it's just too much now, LOL

Drew, I feel sorry for all those tea-baggers, LOL

I do get the ear ring and hand shaking, but never the headache.

Just lucky I guess. ;)

Running at 7 volt now with the blue foam.

Thanks for the tip.

The only problem with the foam and the 7 volts Is that the ear ring is starting sound like a fire truck.8-o

Oh well everything is a trade off.

Luvin the Xhaler with the foam.

Sweet! Hope to be finally trying out my new Xhaler with my 510 and foam this week.. tomorrow would'nt be soon enough! hehe.

Hey make sure to wash the crap out of the foam before you use it. You want to take the shine off of it. Some reported it seems greasy and why the strange taste. After washing it a couple of times it should be good to go. One even reported putting a sheet in the top shelf of the dish washer lol. Whatever works i guess.

After you wash it, hold it up to a piece of unwashed to see if its lighter in color.. if so, its good to go.
