OK, remember, there are no stupid questions, just stupid people...
oh, wait :-x

1) when your juice is finally steeped, what happens next? does it continue to concentrate? or will start to dissipate?

2) when your juice is finally steeped, how should you "store" it? say you got 100mils of a juice that you will use 10-15mils a week.

3) when steeping your juice, would a container that is wider help you juice steep quicker? lets say a 50 mil container is 3" tall by 1.5" inches wide, will that juice steep quicker if i put in a container that spreads the juice out so that it is only .5" inches high?

4) i plain to buy some glass containers for my juice, will cork top be better than twist top? (sorry, just anti-plastic)

5) generally, do light and heat degrade juices? maybe store in colored glass once steep? (not before, cuz it would be hard for me to see if it's getting darker. i have a weird color-blindness as in general i'm not, but when the light gets dim i look the ability to see colors real quick. a form of night-color blindness)

6) if i get a huge bottle of juice, breaking it down into smaller sizes would help it steep quicker, correct? OK, here's the dumb part: if i broke down a 236mil bottle in 5-50s...would they all taste the same? additionally, could i steep 1 faster than the others and somehow slow down the steeping of the others?

i thinks that's it.

thanks in advance for advice and opinions!

1) It depends on composition. Some juices are very stable, some are not. Some, especially tobaccos, have long steeping which slows down over time. Generally, you can count on some period of stability (couple of months to couple of years depending on storage temperature) before degradation.

2) I store in fridge everything over my monthly needs, but I am flooded with various juices. You can keep your two or three month needs in room temperature.

3)No. Dimensions doesn't affect steeping.

4) It's OK. Glass and cork are better choice.

5) Generally light, heat and air degrade juices as they degrade almost everything, especially when they join forces, but it is slow process. You can keep it under control by storing juices in full bottles in cold, dark places.

6) Size doesn't affect steeping but temperature does. You can break juice into smaller bottles and put some in your fridge and others keep on room temperature for faster steeping, but I believe its better idea to steep all your juice at once in big bottle and break it when it's steeped. Then you can preserve some small bottles in fridge, keeping them stable.

size does matter. (oh man lol, see what i did there!)
anways, yes size will have an affect on removing any perfume/floral scent. the larger the surface area, ie your 1.5" wide container, will allow more air into your juice. so i guess that isn't steeping per se, but breathing :)

i've seen many people say that larger bottles, especially when talking like 236 mL, will steep significantly faster than a 15 mL bottle. I've seen the same said for even a 50 mL bottle compared to 15. but, YMMV.

I've been happily vaping for 4 years and I almost never steep (on purpose).

I think it's a bit overrated in many cases... some juices need it - some get better, some get worse...

Maybe it's just in my head, but glass is always better.

For fastest steeping... just accidentally leave a bottle of juice in your car for 8 hours on a blistering hot day ;-)

aw shucks, you don't have to butter me up! :pop:

i was under the impression that the opposite was true.

breathing...is this an issue for all juices, or just ones that are kinda funky?

if temperature affects steeping, why do we steep them in cool dark places?

and while steeping, caps on or off? (cap and the piece under it?)

Thanks

I personally leave the caps off all my juices for the first night. i'm sure its subjective though. i also have the patience level of a two year old, so i try practically everythign i get my hands on right away, unless it smells perfumey.
that includes taking the dripper cap off, more surface area. i'm too lazy to pour them off into other containers ;)
