Here's a mod based on Raidy's famous design, and yet the finished thing is narrower than a real cigarette!... even though it is built to give the full Genesis vaping experience.

What's more, changing the nichrome coil is as quick and easy as threading a needle. And no soldering is required to build the mod.

Here's the Nano Genesis atty...

Here it is on first firing - puffing out some vapour...

And finally, inserted into its stainless steel 6mm tube (shown next to an M401 for size). The Nano Genesis can be as long or as short as you wish (depending on how much juice you'd like to put in)...

This is the drawing of how I put it together. This shows all the internal parts - and adds how I plan to finish it (with side wire out to a lighter-size battery box and a neat screw cap end for juice refilling)...

Cool, I like it. The colors are a bit similar in the diagram, but the needles go between heatshrink layers and the silicone is around the ceramic?
I've pulled the bottom off one of mine to do something hoping the juice remaining would stay in there if it was tipped wick down, but it fairly quickly dribbled out without slight vacuum resistance. You might want to just plug the bottom and fill through the wick with a 21G needle.

asdaq - Here's a close-up of the drawing, I agree, the version above is a bit unclear. The lowest needle is actually flat against the oxidised wick - and it doesn't seem to mind at all. I then used heat shrink tube to bond them together, rested the higher needle on top of that (at the opposite side) and then clasped the whole lot together with another piece of heat shrink. The finished element fits very snugly up into the ceramic tube. I placed a thin silicone sleeve around the ceramic tube so that it fit 'juice-tight' into the steel housing (but not too tight to make future removal difficult). The actual indent from the drilled air hole creates a nice 'stop' for the ceramic tube and prevents it from sliding further forward.

I like the ease of having a screw cap for refilling - but I can see the potential problem you mention. Do you think placing a tight cap (or plug) on the mouth end when refilling would keep the vacuum resistance and prevent any leakage?

This is great! I am more and more impressed every time I hit the refresh button on this site it seems like...I have been putting off the genesis, and focusing on bat/body mods, but I think it is now official that I am gonna have to redirect and work on one of these...

This is probably something I should know, but I will ask anyway. I know most lean toward silica rope for the wick. What material is being used here?

Slopes, Great Work!!!!
I had a bunch of Genisis questions running around in my mind when I got to the forum tonight, and this thread has answered them! Thanks.

Dalton, Stainless Steel Mesh. It is the way and the light...:vapor:
Best deal seems to come from themeshcompany.com . 400 or 325 are the sizes generally used.

Slopes. Fantastic and great job. May i ask what size sewing needle did you use and what size wire crimp? Thanks for the pictures. I never thought of using a sewing needle.

I don't know the exact size of them - they are just regular sowing needles from a set. The sort of size you'd use for regular sowing, i guess. I cut the pointy ends off anyway - so as long as the eye is wide enough to take the wire, it'll be OK.
