Hi Folks, back from Daytona and what a blast. I'm really not all that knowledgeable about Nascar stuff but we got to spend the race in the garage area, hang out with the crew and watched the race from the teams booth at pit lane. It was truly amazing to go through the Daytona tunnel and be there.
For this event, it was somewhat short notice so we were unable to get a booth or do much promoting but we did hand out samples, hats and biz cards with a special coupon code to track who used it from the cards we handed out at the event.
We run google analytics and for Feb 1 through Feb 14th (prior to Nascar announcements) we had 1,160,356 page views. After the Nascar announcement, Feb 14th through the 28th, we've had 1,405,492 page views.
Sponsoring the car was amazing but there is so much other media involved other than the hood and we haven’t really had time to scratch the surface of it yet. We’re also sponsoring Justin for the Coca Cola 500 here in Charlotte in May and plan on working with promoting this a lot more between now and then.
There’s so much marketing but the goal of this was to get the name out there and it worked quite well. I wish we were set up for commercials, but we aren’t and have no plans to run any.
I did like the comment about putting the money back to promotions for customers and that’s a tremendous idea which we already implement, this year, so far, people have saved $101,761.53 by using points or coupon codes
I'm trying to get all the pictures we took compiled into a web page and we'll post them up as soon as we can.
