Hello all, I have been a long time lurker and just recently decided to join the forum. I have been vaping on and off since 2009. I had a 510 kit back then and got sick of it and went back to cigarettes. A few months ago after learning my father had cancer I have made the switch (almost) completely to Electronic Cigs, first with the Blu, then Egos and hopefully if the mail comes tomorrow a Lambo VV. I have gotten a couple of coworkers very interested and hope to encourage more people to convert over. Just wanted to say Hi and see if there are any other Nashville people on here!

I have ordered from and communicated with Dave from NashvilleVapors and was wondering if there are any other Nashville vendors around for different types of liquids and such.

Hello and welcome to the ECF! I'm not from Nashville, but going there for a visit in the fall. Good job switching to the e-cig. Pretty soon, you won't even like real cigs anymore (a lot of people here made the switch and never went back to reg cigs)

There is no rush to completly change to e-cigs. If you feel comfortable doing both, so be it. The goal is to be smoke free and if it takes time, than it takes time. This isn't really an overnight change. Good luck!!

Thanks for the welcome, yeah the current smoking is really due to having 2 ego twists come apart from being in my pocket and the wires breaking off so I had to order something new (not that I wasn't planning on it anyways). I just found my Ego passthrough again so hopefully once I get restocked on juices other than the cheapo totally wicked ones I will be more motivated to put them down again. I hated the cigarettes at first coming back from 4-5 weeks of vaping, but they will grow on you again if they let you. If you come down in the fall check out the nashvillevapors site, I know he's trying to start vapor meets.

Thanks for the support steve! He's doing relatively well after surgery and has almost completed the second round of Chemo. While cigarettes were not the cause of his cancer (esophageal) they likely helped increase the heartburn and indigestion that were the cause. Quitting is also out of respect to him because he quit almost cold turkey, and to my mother who quit almost 8 years ago now with the help of Chantix (which I personally hated). The enjoyment I get from the action of smoking makes it difficult for me to quit like that, and I certainly agree that vaping certainly can't be any worse than smoking. I have noticed that my sense of smell and taste are beginning to come back as well.

HRLW, I totally understand the cravings from a rough day at work. I work in customer service and their are days where one irritating customer can make you want to go out and buy a pack. I find that if I go out to my car and use the Ecig for a few minutes I normally subside these cravings, other days its just not so easy.

Absolutely, but I do feel that the further away we get from the last one the stronger the will power to resist those cravings becomes. Plus a 24 or 30 mg juice helps as well :p Just out of curiousity which online vendors are you going through for juices its difficult to weed through who is crap and who is good. It was difficult to find anyone the other day that had the Lambo VV or Lavatube AND ViviNova tanks AND the other stuff I was looking for. I am trying to minimize the shipping costs, and as much as I enjoy supporting my local guy he does not always have everything in stock.
