Hey All I got a question for the DIYers. I've been DIYing my own juice for some time now and Ive had the same problem twice now.

I got 500ml of nicotine (100 mg/ml) VG base from a reputable vendor and when I got it I broke it down into 30ml glass brown bottles and put it in the deep dark recesses of my freezer, pulling only one small 30 ml bottle out at a time for mixing purposes.

For the first few months everything was hunky-dory, but then my juices started getting harsh after much searching and testing I narrowed it down to my nic base and it started to smell too. I figured maybe it was just old to begin with.

So I did some research here on the ecf and elsewhere and found a site that is supposed to have the purest ultra-clean nicotine imported from the UK. So I ordered 500 ml of 100mg/ml VG base. Same break down procedure upon arrival and it was indeed some very clean tasting, pleasantly mild nicotine.

Now about 5 months later my nic is all harsh again my juices are tasting all nasty with mega TH.

Anyone else having this problem? When I break down I put it in small dark bottles then place it in a box then in the freezer I leave a very small air bubble for mixing the nic into the vg when thawing but it is quite small so I don't think its oxidizing. Is it maybe getting freezer burn or something?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks all:vapor:

I never had that problem. I just used up some frozen nic from April of 2013 and it was just as good as when it went in the freezer. I buy 48mg though. Perhaps it wasn't mixed well when you got it. Did you shake it before transferring? Even then, the jury is out as to whether 'hot pockets' of nic are possible.
