I was interested to read this on FlavourArt's website; About flavours

It is basically a comparison between the two. Although their logic is sound, I am wondering if you can still get better or more nuanced flacours when using natural extracts. All the additional chemical compounds surely have an effect on taste, whereas the synthetic flavours just have the basic building blocks of the complete flavour.

Any of you DIY veterans have an opinion on this?

I am NOT a DIY veteran, so let me get that out of the way immediately.

I can tell you that I've tried both naturally-flavored and artificially-flavored liquids from dozens of vendors, and I can definitely tell you that I find the natural flavors much more complex and smooth. They seem to meld together so much better. Of course, this is just my own opinion.
