I used 10% and then I diluted it by half and it's still super sweet with not much taste of blueberry at all.

Just put it aside and come back a week later and see whats up. I got so damn busy last night plus the hockey game I didnt get a chance to mix that Kona yet. Got to do this tonight if possible.

Great thread everyone, thanks! :)
I've just been vaping single flavor mixes from when I got some NF a month or so ago and want to get more. I want to try the blueberry, malt, cake and some other flavors mentioned here.
Is ecigexpress and highdesertvapes the only places so far?
or did I miss a vendor?
(not counting the newportflavors site that still doesn't appear to be up and running/functioning properly yet)

The flavorings at HDV are organic but not the coffee bean ones. The ingredient list is different. However, I did purchases because I like the idea of h20 already being in the mix. So far I think my flavors need a month steep. IDK I tried Kona and caramel. They smell wonderful. I just think they are missing something as a stand alone flavor. The next flavor I will try is the butterscotch. I made 60mL of each test flavor. Caramel creme, kona and butterscotch. I will be able to play with additional flavor to tweek these.

I just mixed the Kona, Danish and Butterscotch as well. All mixed at 10% but the Kona I added some Bavarian Cream @ 2%. I like cream in my coffees and then these are going to sit for awhile. I will drip test some to see how they develop though. If you didn't evaporate the alcohol its going to taste harsh at first. I don't like nuking my juice so they will just sit in the penalty box and feel shame.

Just mixed a slightly different variation of the previous malt+ry4:

2% RY4 (Double)
0.5% Malt
0.5% Caramel Cream

I might add an additional 0.5% Malt, but I'll wait until tomorrow after class to see if I like it as is.

Also:

1.5% Cake Batter
1% Danish

Man that's delicious. Might double up on the both flavors (and maybe add a splash of coconut!)

I mixed these low, even by my usual standards, because they're 10mls rather than my usual 5ml samples... and I wanted to work up.

I do get the relatively slight harshness from the alcohol, however, since I mix at such low %'s, I don't imagine it's hindering me as it might you super flavor lovers :D

Edit: I did add more flavoring in both blends. I do not know yet how I feel about the caramel cream, that is, when it's mixed with malt and double ry4. Malt and double ry4 together is pure awesomesauce, immediately from the get go. With the added caramel cream, it feels somewhat different. Still creamy, still tastes good, but I think it adds something different overall.

The Cake batter + danish + (added a drop of VZ Coconut) is shweet. The batter has that sweet and spicy deliciousness in which the danish tempers it mildly with a good solid bakery taste. The coconut, although minor, I feel is a great addition with the cake batter.

Trying to recreate a cinnamon roll and did 10% chai and 5% Danish. I probably need to reverse the percentages as the chai's cinnamon overwhelms the buttery, creamy flavor I get from the Danish alone. Strawberry alone at 10% is a little chemically. I added 5% sweet cream from Mt Baker Vapor that I use to mellow the tartness in a lot of my fruit vapes and it is better. I will need to try the Bavarian cream in it the next time.

ok, so any east coasters know Tastykakes? Tastykake | Krimpets | Butterscotch Krimpets and Jelly Krimpets
Reading that the cake batter was "snack-cakey" (Levitas' description i think, forgive me if i'm wrong) i was inspired

I'm aiming for a "Butterscotch Krimpet"

Started with:

8% Cake batter
4% Butterscotch
4% Bavarian Cream

It has serious tastykake potential, but i think i'll need to bump up the butterscotch 2% and give it a good steep.

Remixed tonight...this time I went with 10% NF Kona Cream + 2% MtBaker "Sweet Cream" that I had in a 6 meg. Not bad, just may need a little sweetner. May have to order some malt..that may be the missing link.

Also mixed up a butter-mint. 30 ML mix, 1.5ML VZ Creme De Menthe, 1.5 ML Lorann Butter, the rest was PG/VG to the 30 ML total. It's not bad at all. May add a little cream to it though. Shooting for a butter-cream mint.

:)

Tao that cake batter is very strong stuff. I would actually go down to 2% and bring butterscotch up to 8% or even more. 2% Bav Cream is good starting point I think for making mixes creamy with a little bit of sweet.

I have just started my DIY journey at the beginning of this year and TFA isn't really all that safe as far as I'm concerned. In fact, their gingerbread has given me bronchitis.

A couple of questions come to mind.

1.) What ingredient(s) in TFA flavorings lead you to believe they're not safe?
2.) How on Earth can inhaling said ingredients give you bronchitis?

Bear in mind, the ingredients used in TFA flavorings are pretty much the same as any other company (for the exception of those who use a different base other than propylene glycol). Bronchitis is brought upon by bacteria, or a virus, not by inhaling vaporized e-liquid.

Now, I'm not trying to put you down, but, making such absurd claims as a specific company causing you medical ailments isn't really helping anyone, least of all you. Especially when the claim is misinformed, and false.

It has been officially a week since I made this batch. I just mixed this on a whim and this tastes exactly like gooey butter cake. Its absolutely fantastic ! If you can mix a batch and let steep a week would love to hear opinions. Its like Im almost taking a bite out of the cake it has a lot of depth to it. I did a 50/50 base so you might have to adjust if your heavy VG user.

The malt I also put in with FA Virginia and it turned it into a crazy good Ry4! Im sure most would agree this is a malt a lot of vendors use for sure.

They list natural and artificial flavorings. You don't really get what they are. I could be having a bronchial reaction because of an allergy to something in the flavor. An artificial flavoring is going to be a chemical substance. It's been a day since I decided to vape non gingerbread flavors and my chest irritation has subsided. I didn't even feel like my lungs were fully expanding yesterday. I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I am responsible for what I put in my body. I should just be doing it in a more cautious and more natural way from now on me thinks...

I bombed for sure with the cake batter and blueberry. I don't if I just don't like cake batter but it's unsalvagable. Sure, I will let it steep more..... At least it's only 3 MLs. My coconut strawberry blackberry Bavarian Creme and malty is gone! I kept tasting it to be sure I could taste the berries and I could. So I decided to do coconut and key lime with cotton candy and as usual some malty. I had it mixed to a point it was really good, throat hit too but after I added malty I lost the throat hit which I've never noticed happening before. Plus, as usual I added too much coconut but Im on a coconut kick. I wish I had of had plain lime to help and my little simple of key lime was gone. ( I bought some natures flavors from High Desert Vapers along with a tank and really wanted to try that key lime! I'll get it again but have plain lime on hand to sharpen it up and not use malty.
