The Nautilus tank is definitely a step down from the eGo One tank in terms of max airflow and available stock coil resistances. I have both. I found juice use about the same. The istick 30 mod running at max could also be considered a minor step down as an eGo One mod with a 0.5 ohm coil will be running at 35w with a freshly charged battery.

The OP might say why they are considering changing. What is they don't like about their gear that makes them want to change? From some of the replies here I'll point out that you can DL inhale with supposed MTL gear just fine. There's no requirement that you do otherwise.

I've has two eGo One tanks, and both produced copious amounts of seemingly wet vapor. Both also would leak juice out through the air flow holes, rendering both eGo One tanks impossible for me to carry in my pocket while going about my day. I tried all different types of coils, even wound my own coils and wicks, but no joy.

I have two Nautilus Minis running 1.8 Ohm coils that I use on an iStick 30W. Although they produce less vapor than the eGo One tanks, both the Minis are solid performers that never once leaked any juice on me (unless I made an obvious mistake). Occasional gurgles and condensation buildup are easily resolved, too. With the eGo One, just 10 minutes of vaping would lead to condensed juice flowing out of the air flow holes. So, yeah, while the Mini may be a step backward, it just plain works without a bunch of issues.

In my experience it's been hard to go from a device that allows greater airflow/vapor to one the is more restrictive. I recall thinking how great the airflow used to be when I first started vaping a KFL+ but now it's too tight to be pleasurable.

Your shop steward may have been using this criteria to explain why going to an Nautilus was a 'step back?'

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with both ego ONEs. I can relate to your leakage issues. I had the same problem with one of them and took it to the shop where I bought both. The staffer looked at the coil which apparently was toast - it'd fallen apart to say the least. Replaced the coil and so far I haven't had more leakage from the air intake holes. *crossing fingers* However, last night my 2nd eGo ONE began leaking slightly out of the same place even though I replaced the coil 2 days ago.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm doing something wrong or ...?

I did email the store manager when the 1st one started leaking. She replied, suggesting the coil may have been faulty and if after replacing with a new one the problem persisted she would replace the rig. I wonder if she'll stand by her word if both need replacing (?).

I do like the vapor production with both ego ones however, if the leakage problems continue I may need to look at something else. May check out the Nautilus Mini/istick 30W.

I own a couple of ego one tanks (not the battery, just the tanks). I use the clr coil/heads that are rebuildable and make 1.5 ohm coils for tootle puffing. I like them for a lower stealthy profile for out and about use on an istick 10w.

I would not consider the tanks a step down from anything, just an alternative. The ego one batteries are certainly not the be all end all battery, but they're not meant to be. They are also meant as more of a low profile, stealthy device.

So you where talking about tanks and he suggested an eleaf istick 30w? wow. I would consider the nautilus mini a step down but it depends on what your going for. Why where you considering a nautilus mini?

To be honest @coilburner I'm not exactly sure. I'm very new at this (can you tell? ) and although I like my 2 ego ones I've been browsing online for options. I think what's happened is I've reverted back to childhood...the kid in the candy store. .. "Ohhhh, that looks nice"...ohhh I want THAT one!" When clearly I've gotten myself all mixed up. :/

If I'm not mistaken, the Ego One is a lung hitting device and the battery is more like a mech mod, delivering whatever power is in the battery to the atomizer. The Nautilus is more of a mouth-to-lung hit and the iStick30 would allow you to vary the power delivered. Personally, I prefer mouth-to-lung with variable power. I'm currently running a Kayfun v4 with a 2.2 ohm coil at 15 watts. And by the way, running that Ego One atomizer on an iStick30 might surprise you if you vary the wattage.

I too am a mouth-to-lung(er). So, it's possible to run an iStick30 on an ego one atomizer?
