Nautilus replacement coils

My new replacement coils that I purchased just don't seem to be performing as well as the ones that come with the nautilus tank. Yes they are the same coils but I wonder if this is a quality control issue. I'm using 50/50 blend liquid, and after about 2 days (sometimes even after 1 day) I get an off taste. Anyone else experience this? For the cost of these coil heads, I would expect them to last much longer. In fact when I first got my tank, the original coils lasted me about a week before the flavor changed on me.

4 heads in a week of trying, and I never could get the tank working right. One head I got, didn't even have the air hole in the center post. It was just solid. The bad heads were the 2 it came with and 2 from a five pack.

I find after a few days use I have to turn the voltage down a little bit to avoid getting slightly burnt tasting hits. I usually run the 1.8ohm heads around 3.8-4v.

Yeah when they work well, they are amazing. But so far the lack of consistency in these coil heads are making me wonder if I should try to build my own coils on them. While they have been done, they are a pita to do
