My husband makes all our juices and has been told that he actually puts in more flavoring than most venders do. We are at a loss ourselves. I'll probably talk to ~Shado~ about it tonight if we get to hit vapechat.

I'm back......
What did I miss?
Woohoo!! He's back!!!! What did you miss.....well you missed us, sugar! Not nearly as much as we missed you!
How ya doing? In need of some aggressive fondling with a little leg groping??
Hells yeah.....
They don't grope properly in Georgia....to laid back. Not enough vigor or anger.....
I like some good OL Braska fondling.
It's hot here....nice there. I should have stayed.
If you would have stayed one day longer we were gonna drive to Georgia and drag you back! You been gone way too long, baby!
Did you bring back some new mod holders??![]()
Been a busy week or so and a stressful month or 2. Hopefully I can pull it together and be around more.
Is mod holders the cause of the ruckus elsewhere? That's pitiful.....
DIY is an art that takes patience and practice. Despite the fact that I am a vendor, I very much encourage DIY because it provides vapers with a level of insight into the process. In short, it makes them better consumers... they come to the table with a basic fundamental understanding of the respective components of eLiquid, what they do, and how to order based on the requirements of their specific devices (since there are literally thousands of atomizers out there to choose from, all with different intricacies). Hawk is a guy (if he was around) that could give you great insight into DIY because he is so good at it. I think I heard Jake or Pitt say this once, but it rings true... DIY is all about YOU. No one else has to like it or enjoy it... you don't have to pander to the lowest common denominator... you just have to make a liquid YOU can enjoy (or, in your case, you and your hubs).
With regard to % of flavoring - every component you choose ultimately causes variation in the others. One change, however slight, can have a dramatic effect in the end product. Ultimately, DIY is about finding components that jive well with your personal taste. You mentioned soy based VG - obviously a no-no for you. That said, I *do* use soy based VG in *one* of my mixes because it seems to jive better with the flavoring I use.
Also, what is helpful, is doing some research about how flavoring is made. This is where it gets complicated, and this was the hardest part for me to learn. Breaking down flavoring to the actual chemical components is the single largest contributor to being able to make multi-flavored blends. Beyond knowing what is in there... knowing how they react with each-other is extremely helpful. All Strawberry Flavoring is not created equal. Here is a short list of some of what is contained in a single flavoring...
amyl acetate,
amyl butyrate,
amyl valerate,
anethol,
anisyl formate,
benzyl acetate,
benzyl isobutyrate,
butyric acid,
cinnamyl isobutyrate,
cinnamyl valerate,
cognac essential oil,
diacetyl, <<<NO ELIQUID SHOULD CONTAIN THIS
dipropyl ketone,
ethyl acetate,
ethyl amyl ketone,
ethyl butyrate,
ethyl cinnamate,
ethyl heptanoate,
ethyl heptylate,
ethyl lactate,
ethyl methylphenylglycidate,
ethyl nitrate,
ethyl propionate,
ethyl valerate,
heliotropin,
hydroxyphenyl-2-butanone (10 percent solution in alcohol),
a-ionone,
isobutyl anthranilate,
isobutyl butyrate,
lemon essential oil,
maltol,
4-methylacetophenone,
methyl anthranilate,
methyl benzoate,
methyl cinnamate,
methyl heptine carbonate,
methyl naphthyl ketone,
methyl salicylate,

neroli essential oil,
nerolin,
neryl isobutyrate,
orris butter,
phenethyl alcohol,
rose,
rum ether,
g-undecalactone,
vanillin, and
solvent.
It's near impossible to teach in a venue like a forum - but I can tell you, taking the list of above ingredients, how to isolate 2-3 of those chemical compounds to make that strawberry sweeter, more robust, more authetic, more candy-like, or - if you really want - make it taste like a raspberry. LOL
I'm sorry, papa! Need me to rub your stress away? You name it, I'll do it! It's my understanding that mod holders caused the demise of it......I posted a link to the new thread a couple pages back.
I'm really glad you're back.....it's just not the same without you around!
Time for me to hit the sack! Love you long time!!
Found a new love - cheating on us. Hater Hawk![]()
