I am tired of buying pure menthol flavors, menthol tobacco flavors, or other flavors with just a little menthol added in and the menthol taste ruins the other flavors simply because it was a LOUSY menthol flavor! I keep getting these bitter menthols. Or mediciny menthols. But mostly menthols with a very bitter flavor or after taste. When I smoked cigs, the menthol in them didnt taste all bitter!

I think that single flavor note can ruin an otherwise acceptable flavor faster than anything else...A strong bitterness.....

But I did taste two(out of like 10) menthol flavors that actually had a slightly sweet note to them that continued to the end and didnt have that bitterness that almost makes you cringe.....

It also seems that most of the tobacco menthols out there have a HUGE amount of menthol to them. They make Salems and Kools seem like non-menthol cigarettes by comparison!

So does anyone know of:

**1. A good pure menthol flavor concentrate with slight sweetness and no bitterness?
2. A good pure menthol e-liquid?
**3. A good tobacco menthol with a MODERATE amount of good tasting, non-bitter, but slightly sweet menthol?
4. Any other good menthol flavor mixes?

Thanks...

I just did a little Halo mixing: 1 Part HX3 (for the sweet... kind of juicy-fruitish) + 3 parts Truepure. I like more menthol though, so I might try less HX3 next time. Either way, it is a nice change of pace but not a complete menthol departure.

Thats funny, you must be reading my mind! I was just about to go over to the Halo store and look into their other 2 menthol tobacco flavors that I havent tried yet and order one of them, but just before I did that, I decided to check back here and see if anyone has replied to my thread yet. I ordered their Ice menthol about 2 weeks ago and its got a strong menthol to it. I got the small bottle and I've vaped about 2.5 ml's of it, and dont plan on vaping any more of it. Maybe I can use it to cut a non-menthol tobacco flavor.

Which of those 2 Halo flavors you mentioned has the least menthol to it?

Truepure is the ultimate menthol (I've also tried Coolmist, Menthol Ice, and I I''ll have Mystic in my hands tomorrow). I didn't like HX3 at all (more tobacco + juicy fruit with not much menthol). Dropped some of that into Truepure, and the end result is magical! :)

Is Truepure a menthol tobacco flavor, or just pure menthol?

Tobacco menthol, but the menthol is over-powering. I saw someone make this comment recently:

If you want the strongest menthol flavor ever (almost Vicks rub) get Truepure. I have the others Halo menthols sitting on my desk and have not tried them yet because the Truepure was so insanely menthol and I could barely stand it. I was a menthol smoker but it was way too much for me. Each person likes something different so that may be what you like.

Dropping some HX3 in there gives it a more tobacco/sweet flavor. Been vaping it all night! :)

So Truepure has even stronger menthol flavor than Ice menthol huh?

And I thought Ice menthol was their Strong tasting menthol! I hate it when these companies advertise a flavor with a name that sounds like "Newport", which is a low menthol cigarette compared with Salem or Kools.

I am going to order both HX3 and Newpure, although since I already have Ice metnhol I dont know that I'll need it, but then again, Ice menthol has one of those menthol flavors I'm not too keen on.

I used to smoke Kools, and Truepure was the liquid that gave me the strongest menthol/tobacco taste. The others might have had a strong menthol flavor (this is going back 2 years though, so I'm going off of old impressions), but they were less harsh. I needed/need the harshness. For all I know they could have had a stronger menthol, but they just didn't taste like a hardcore menthol analog to me. Hope that helps!

I've done a little mixing of flavors and such to try and sweeten a lot of different juices and the ones that I have found that work well with menthol's and minty flavors are vanillin and vanilla bean type juices. I just mix them in a tank and it comes out real smooth and sweet. I tried to add sweetener and have found that after about a day, the sweetener makes the juice taste like cotton candy. Not a fan. But the vanilla with the menthol is awesome! :)

I DIY my menthol. I'm a one flavor vaper, nothing but my menthol. I have honed my juice to a light menthol with a slight cotton candy aftertaste (which I like). The beauty of DIY is that you can adjust to your taste instead of settling on one that is just "acceptable", and Menthol is an easy mix.

I tried the sucralose sweetener, as I got a free sample when a person here left a link to their site, and I tried it in a flavor that was bitter, and it didnt seem to sweeten up the vape at all! I dont know if some sweeteners that are meant to be swallowed are going to work when you heat them up and vape them. Who knows...

What Halo flavors do you use besides truepure? I use torque, malibu, tribeca, and tiki juice and every one of them wrecks my boge's within days. I am a heavy vaper though vape at LR 2.0@4.2-3.7v. Some will wreck them sooner than others (I've gone two days before with malibu and tiki) but I know when I put any of them in its not going to be more then 5 days in anycase. I could be the unlucky victim of the boge fiasco though :)

Anyways, it hasn't stopped me from buying halo, lol.

On Halo's site, it says Malibu has a relatively light throat hit. This is the only reason I haven't tried it - how do you rate the TH on it?

@LR malibu can really knock your socks off. Its too strong for me sometimes, but that's possibly because I'm not usually a menthol fan, malibu is the only exception to that rule for me. @HR its a really mellow vape so if you use the cooler resistances its probably not going to be as prominant. I made the mistake of filling a cart full of malibu once for a smoker to try... they started coughing and said it was too strong. true story. I get the impression halo tests their juices from their hr/808 setups. This flavor is possibly the only flavor I would call a true chameleon... by varying voltage and lr/hr I can either dump the menthol aspect of it (burn it off) and savor the coconut/pineapple underneath or I can dial it town and enjoy a cool menthol. I've not come across another flavor that really behaves the way Malibu does.

In anycase, Malibu Menthol is worth a look, at least once. Its definitely unique. And yummy.

My friends say it smells like candy out of the bottle, and I'd have to agree.

I tend to use atties at around 1.7 ohms, so it sounds like this might be the perfect juice for me (long-time menthol smoker, and I need a good TH!). Have you tried HX3? It has a really nice juicy-fruitish flavor, but I can't taste much menthol out of it, and the tobacco is a little to strong for me. If you've tried it, is it similar to HX3 in any way? From your description, it sounds like Malibu is more up my alley - on my list. Thanks!

Let me know what you think of Malibu! I've not tried hx3 yet, tikijuice is my favorite from halo I usually get tiki/tribeca/malibu in my orders maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a sampler of hx3 in my order :D

I will most definitely report back! I've found lately that the HX3 isn't palatable at all on a lower resistance. I think that turned me off at first, but now using a standard resisitance, i'm getting a much different and pleasant experience. I wish I had some sort of frame of reference to ask you if you think I would like Tiki. :/

I agree totally at different resistances halo juice is totally different. I can't vape them at HR at all its too cool a vape which I don't like but on top of that it doesn't really get all of the flavors out of the juice. Tiki Juice is my favorite on Dual Coil LR clearos, but those clearos are so crap (the cracking plastic ones with filler) that I don't even think they make them anymore, not to mention they are dangerous as hell, I almost started a fire on an airplane after i pocketed one... the filler was red hot and melted... I burnt my leg. If they made a legit clearo dual coil LR Ii'd be in heaven with tiki juice, its just enough to burn off all the menthol and get to the delicious vanillay/caramel/marshmellowy/peppery goodness. On SC LR @4.2 -> 3.7 its still good enough for me to call my favorite but I do get a really good dose of methol/peppermint. Its such a unique vape its really hard for me to describe but it will keep you coming back for more. A lot of people taste Dr. Pepper in Tiki, I do get that peppery hit on the exhale but as I don't drink dr. pepper I can't say for sure.
