when i first started vaping i started with Smoktech dual coil pre punched cartos and had very bad experinces with them. I went on to the ego-c system then to the vivi nova but all the time hearing how great cartos were.

So i went back to cartos a while back but this time i went with boge LR cartos and punch them my self........now i have 15 boxes of boge cartos and 4 carto tanks and im loving them!!

so in short id suggest Boge cartos and punching them your self to fit your needs. just my 2 cents.

What device are you using? What juice do you have?

Old ego battery - non vv - low res (1.5-1.7ohm) single coil single punched cartomizer
VV battery - standard res single coil single punched cartomizer

I'm guessing you're flooding the cartomizer because you're either sucking way too hard causing the liquid to not be heated fast enough resulting in the cartomizer gets over saturated.

And also...your tank may have an air leak...caused by a crack or bad o-rings.

Can you elaborate on "punching them to fit your needs"?
I always punch them the same way. Do you mean hole placement/number of holes?

What i mean is size of and number of holes to go with the thickness of your juice.

as for placement i always keep the holes to the lowest point inside the tank without them being covered by the bottom cap.

Not a big fan of tool-punched cartos, preferring the laser-drilled carto's more. Tool-punched cartos invariably distort the shape of the casing of the carto, which when put through the tank's endcaps can put stress upon the inner o-rings. These o-rings are what keeps your tank from leaking and also play a part in the tank's inner pressure, which can lead to flooding issues. Laser-drilled cartos do not have this issue.

To further protect your tank's o-rings, I also highly recommend a tank tool like this one: A PBusardo Review - Slap Yo Mama Multi-Purpose Adapter - Big Daddy Vapor - YouTube

I also recommend Ikenvape cartos if you can get them. They're very popular and are in limited production, so are often out of stock of the ones needed for tanks.

I'll agree that there is a difference in the filler densities between Smoktek and Boge cartos. If you are having flooding issues, which are most often user error in origin, give Boges a try.

I have at least a dozen cartotanks set up at any given time, each with their own flavor. These are from different manufacturers, including IBTanked, the DCT polypro tanks from My Vapor Store, Elegance tanks from Hoosier Vapes, Vaporfexion, Valley View Vapes, and Phiniac. I've not had any issues with any of them.

I use Ikenvape 510 Fusion or Platinum cartomizers that are pre-punched.
