I started with egos a year ago. As much as I'd like to move to a bigger PV, I've kept coming back to ego type.
I chain vape all day, so I give batteries a real workout. They seem to decline quickly, taking longer to charge and draining faster.
Everyone seems to like the kgos for battery life, so I got 2 kits from Hoosier ecig about two months ago. I was very happy at first, but now I can use up a battery faster than one can recharge.
I use only the kgo charger that came with the kit. I wipe the connector off every time I switch cartos or plug them in for a recharge.
Am I doing something wrong? Should my batteries go downhill so fast? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

i dont think you are doing anything wrong...well, if you are, then i am too because i do it the same way as you. i have had my kgos batts from hoosier for just over a year and the first one died on me 2 days ago. they have both been charged every day since i got them (so apprx 365 charging cycles). my guess is that your batts were a not-so-good-batch. i am planning on ordering another kit next week.

Not a KGO expert but can give you my experience with them. I have 2 kits and they are 3 months old now and I feel they are as good as when I bought them. They still take exactly 3 hours to charge and last me about 10 hours. Are you using both chargers maybe one is not good any more? Are all 4 batteries doing this?

Do you have all 4 batteries and both chargers in operation? Try that and see if maybe it's just the one battery, or the one charger that is defective. I bought a KGO kit from Hoosier a couple of months ago too, and they seem to out-perform the Genuine Ego 900 mah batteries that I have, in battery life and vapor output.

I always was under the impression that in time the batteries do in fact begin to last less and less time between charges as they age but I am in no way a battery expert just seems that way from my personal observations. Kgo was my first PV too and have now moved on to bigger battery devices such as the Provari, Vmax, lavatube, etc. If it is that much of an issue you maybe you should give one a try. They will definitely last you a lot longer and I also love the additional power. Much more satisfying IMO.

My KGOs are almost 7 months old I still use them almost every day. You shouldn't be discharging in no 3-4 hours. Did you get the 650's? Even a 650mah is supposed to last at least 6.5 hours. My 1100's last more than 24 hours each, chain vaping, almost 7 months later.

The KGO is designed to last for 300 charges total. After that the voltage and capacity will permanently decrease and it is highly recommended that you replace them (for superstitious reasons - they fear that the overcharge safety circuit will fail on average after that amount of time, though lithium ion batteries have been charged thousands of times). There are certain milestones where you will lose voltage if you continue using them after 300 (once again, not recommended).

Since in 2 months you are likely nowhere NEAR that amount of charges, my take on this is that you got a bad batch from Hoosier which, quite frankly, doesn't surprise me.

Recommend you get some Ego Twists and write a negative review in the proper section on the grounds that you were sold substandard equipment.

These are genuine Joyetechs for the cheapest price I have seen so far:
Ego-C Twist | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

I don't generally think that all people need genuine gear all the time, but the twist can have issues with not actually being able to twist the potentiometer on the bottom with knockoffs (been there, done that).

thanks for the twist link. the best price i was abe to find was a buck more at vapors choice. very pleased with my product but if i need another, VV gets the biz not only for the minor savings, but for the fact that the kona coffee milkshake has been on my rader for some time now.

also, 300 charge cycles seems awfully low. i wonder if thats the standard for all ego type devices.
