That's a nice beginner setup but from your original post, it sounds like you're not really into the mouth-to-lung style of vaping. I wasn't either and didn't quit smoking tobacco until I moved to direct-lung inhalation.

The NX30 can support tanks like the Vaporesso Estoc I mentioned earlier, but that tank really does better closer to 40 Watts. The original Crown tank @madstabber mentioned does that very well too, as do a bunch of others.

I can't tell you what to get. I can only share what's worked for me. I have a bunch of Pico mods because they're small, powerful, portable, tough, versatile... cheap! I've very rarely seen someone here complain about the device and there are a BUNCH of Pico owners here.

The Battlestar is a two-battery mod that's also tough, powerful, versatile and just beautifully put together. That one also has a lot of users here and I have only seen one complaint and that one was on aesthetics rather than technicals or performance.

Instead of focusing on the battery unit (mod), it is better to consider the atomizer (tank, RBA) the center of the system. Once you have that in mind you can get a battery that works with it or maybe even one that works somewhat better. It sounds like you could be running your atomizer too hard, this could be because of it being inadequate for your needs. Or, not pulling enough air through because it's actually too much for your needs. Or maybe it's just set wrong. One complaint of the early AIO was it ran too hard and hot and I've seen that as somewhat typical flaw.

During a normal hit on a small tank you might feel the vapor go from kind of cool and wet, to fully tasty, to starting to get a bit hot and dry or even burnt if you continue past 3-5 seconds. If this happens and you want to continue, let off the button 1/2 second to regulate the heat. You shouldn't have to pump the button, then it's too hot, but having to do this is somewhat normal and gives fast ramp-up and decent performance, and a certain control. Again that's a small tank, a more powerful atomizer might not need to do this but have their cons as well and this is still a useful example to think about it.

Which Pico?

Depends on your topper. The Pico 75w only has clearance for 22mm (I use 18mm tanks) so if you end up using bigger attys the Pico 25 fits up to 25mm.

If you are looking for more clouds, the Pico 75 I'd think but if you want to go really higher in wattage, I'd probably recommend a two battery mod.
