So to give you a little back story on this post.
I originally saw 1getcha69's review of the genisis line/maxi and was IN LOVE....with the concept

not in love with the fact that genisis's are harder to come by than big foot
and really not in love with the prices for the odysseus or the zenisis

so i lurk and lurk the atomizer mod section on ECF and i come across two threads that catch my eye

dont remember the posts link or name, but one was of a man who took a bunch of washers and sanded them down, added a little solder and some tubing to make a genisis style atty that was pretty legit, but that's too much work/money for my broke 21 year old self

then i came across a guy who made one from a 10ml bottle and an old ce2 and some wires, again looks like some hassle

now lets fast forward to yesterday when i got my vision stone v3 tank in the mail. started vaping it and realized why dont i combine these two ideas and apply them to this tank. i think it would work if i drilled two holes in the top cap, ran some posts down to the bottom where i solder the posts to the base(for the electrical connection). but thats about as far as i got to before asking what next?

basically i have this crude idea in my head on how to build this atty but i dont know how to or what problems i may want to try and avoid.

VISION Stone 3 - Tank Mod : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more here is the stone tank to see what im talking about

REVIEW OF THE GENESIS MAXI REPAIRABLE ATOMISER - YouTube and here is the video of the genisis (in case you dont know what im talking about)

any help would be great.

Well your nearly there, the issue then is how will you seal the top area with the coil? That's why most genesis atomizers look like they have 2 tanks, the top one is really just to seal up the top coil area. I'd recommend making a genesis line copy, using the f1 or ego-w cartomizers. Gotvapes has something like them, the new phoenix would be easy to turn into a genesis because of the screw on pen cap.

Read your post earlier and have been thinking about it.

Vision also produce the Ego Vision or Stardust. Was watching a vid on this board about re wicking that device and wondered about just exchanging the fiber for mesh. May have to widen the slots the wick slides down into position by filing.

Now I haven't actually seen the Vision Tank but don't think it is that different to the Stardust.

If you search youtube there is a vid for the Wildfire rebuildable tank atty. Think igetcha will be reviewing it soon. Anyway think of the fiber wick looping both sides of the central post nearly touching the bottom and replace that with mesh.

Think it would work but need to get the kanthal and mesh. Oh and a Vision as well lol

the stardust is narrow at the top. which is why im choosing the stone tank. or maybe the new vivi nova that dropped yesterday. also the base caps are metal for a conductor and they're fairley wide. im thinking i could replace the center post of the ce2 with the mesh and put the positive and negative terminals on either side which brings me to another question. how do i make each terminal positive and negative? or does that not even matter?

and sumoman25 are you talking about making a bulli type set up?

OK... I have a stardust currently running in genesis config with 34gauge nicrome at 2.4 ohm. Working great with no other mods. YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN OHM METER AND A TORCH OF SOME KIND! I torched and dunked in TAP water 4 times then loaded the wick with juice and burned it of 4 times. OXIDIZE WELL and TEST with ohm meter! You have been warned!

That being said it works well.
