Voltage Root Mean Square (V-RMS) - it's a way of calculating voltage that yields the effective voltage vs Mean/Average Voltage (V-AVG). It's used by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) regulated voltage devices.

Watch this great video by Phil Busardo - if you don't want to learn about all the basics of vaping then jump to the 15:00 minute marker to learn about the basic electrical stuff (Ohms Law, Voltage/Wattage, and Amp Limitations).
