Hello, I've been smoking traditional cigs for the past 17 years. I smoke roughly a pk a day & have tried several things to quit, to no avail. I was simply not motivated, or the product was a waste of money! We all know the health risk involved with smoking & I've finally made the decision to try quiting once again. I've done my research & believe vaping will get me over the hurdle, because it still provides a level of nicotine & the habit of holding a cig..etc..

My only problem(s) now is finding the right product from a Canadian Supplier or a US one that ships to Canada. Maybe some of you experts could help me out by answering a few questions & taking the guess work out of it for me..Man it's stressful trying to pick the right e-cig...smoking 2 pks a day now trying to figure all this out..

1. Whats the best product on the market? I want something that delivers a good throat hit & has the best bang for my buck.

2. Who's the best supplier in Canada? I want the best Products, Prices & Service.

3. What flavours are the best? I would like to have some tobacco flavours at first & maybe something like coffee or menthol.

With so many products & sites to choose from on the net, all claiming to have the best products I thought asking this here first would help me make "The Right Choice" to quit smoking an easy one.

Thanks in advance

I'll try my best:

1. Whats the best product on the market? I want something that delivers a good throat hit & has the best bang for my buck.
People seem to be raving about the eGo or the these days (I have one and absolutely LOVE it - the battery lasts me most of the day w/ heavy vaping, it produces consistent heavy vapor from the fresh charge through to re-charging time)

2. Who's the best supplier in Canada? I want the best Products, Prices & Service.
Just keep posting until you can go to the Canada Forum. But my guess is that since you have to buy this stuff online anyway it won't really make a difference. I like Totally Wicked, Cignot, Liquid xpress, and some others. One thing about vaping is you end up having a bunch of favorite suppliers instead of just one or two that you always buy from.

3. What flavours are the best? I would like to have some tobacco flavours at first & maybe something like coffee or menthol.
Unfortunately, this is totally subjective. You may as well ask what the best flavor of ice cream is. I like 555, TW menthol, cool rush from liquid xpress, ry4, atomic cinnacide. The basics. But a lot of smokers find that they end up not liking any of the 'cigarette' type of flavors and much prefer the fruity choices.

Good Luck!

The best product on the market is open to a wide range of discussion. The eGo/Riva is my personal favorite and a very easy kit to start with. Liberty Flights had a good deal on Rivas, but it my be sold out now. Liberty Flights, Backwoods Brew and Litecig USA all have a nice selection of tobacco flavors.

Please bare in mind that I've never seen an ecig before let alone use one. Reading the forums I see a lot of seasoned vapers are modding their units for max output etc...I wouldn't even know where to start..So I guess my buying guidelines as of now are as follows:

I want something that has a good TH, batteries last long, a unit that I can convert over at a later date for filling my own carts etc..

I'm extremely happy that a group such as this exist..With your expert advices I can head right to the cream of the crop & save $$$.. I imagine a lot of people buy things after reading phony reviews...wasting hard earned cash, hopfully I can avoid that here..

Thanks again

Just be careful about order juice from the states, it can sometimes get confiscated by customs. Hardware seems to come through no problem.

I order my hardware from Happy Vaper, Jack is an angel for newbies. For juice I've used several vendors, check the Canadian Vendors for a good listing. U Vape It is having a pretty big sale right now.

For flavours, I've had good luck with RY4, Caramel, and Mocha. I didn't like the tobacco flavours once I stopped smoking cigarettes. It's really a bit of tweaking to find the flavours you'll like. I have ordered some sampler packs to figure out what nic level was good for me as well as flavours that appealed to me.

Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks again folks for the info.. I was looking at the eGo kit last night Rosa & was unsure of the value or quality of the device. Do you use this one yourself? if so, what if anything should I be ordering along with the starter kit?? I don't want run out the first week, so I know I'll need extra stuff, but what??

Total newbie, I know! Thanks for spoon feeding me here..LOL

Yes I have the eGo and standard 510 stuff also. Get yourself some extra atty's. I use a drip tip while at home and at my desk but for driving I use cartomizers. You may want to grab some if driving is one of your triggers for puffing analogs.

Welcome to ECF. If you're looking for Canadian suppliers there are a few. Try Happy Vaper - Canada Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid, DIY Concentrated Flavorings!, Premium Electronic Cigarette Kits, Juice + Supplies which has a Canadian branch. There's others I'm sure but these are on the ECF supplier list so they should be good places to start with.
If you want a good solid unit just start with an eGo or similar unit. It'll give you what you're looking for as far as throat hit and vapor production and the prices aren't too bad. Most places that sell PV's also sell juices so just order a few different bottles when you order your unit.
I agree with Parallex2, post a bit more then go to the Canadian forum and you'll probably get more answers as to suppliers, quality of service, and prices.

I have seen eGo batteries with a usb connection at the bottom plate. The eGo has a large battery anyway and if you have two one is always charging. 510 standard kits have small batteries and I only get about 45 mins off of them. The eGo lasts me at least 3 hours. If you decide to go with 510 you can (and will) buy just the eGo batteries at a later time. Best of luck .

I use the eGo and it has served me well. I'd definitely recommend it. If you go with the eGo you can avoid the starter unit step and get what most of us end up with anyway. Get manual batteries, we all end up with them because they work better. If you order it get at least a couple of extra atty's, I'd recommend LR (low resistance) since you want good TH. They'll provide that better than a standard atty. Order at least 30ml of juice in different strengths and flavors. That'll keep you vaping for close to 2 weeks if you are average. That'll give you a chance to evaluate the strength and decide if you like the flavors without committing to a bunch of juice you don't know if you'll like.
