From what I understand, (readlease correct me), the ego, or kgo types are of the 510 variety, for which interchangeable parts are most available.
Yes BUT you can also buy adapters for "most" PVs. (510 to 808, 808 to 510, etc.)
batts would last for roughly 6.6 or 11hrs of continuous vaping?
Yes. for some it lasts longer and others shorter. Also depends if your delivery systems/ cartos, atty, clearomizer are low res= LR- shortens batt life slightly.
I like the kit proposed above, but as I expected, being a Canadian supplier, they do not sell nicotine juices.
Once you get the vendor's list you'll find lots. Wait until you get the list before ordering ;-)

Clearomizers are very popular and cheap.
Good Luck.

After receiving the Canada suppliers list and some very personalized help, I am very close to placing my orders. In fact, the best deal I can find on the equipment, liquid aside, is from canvape.com as suggested above. They even have a 10% off code (not working right now :) and offer free shipping for 100$+ orders. I will call them tomorrow to finalize the order. I'm looking at an ego style kit with two 1100 batts. They offer one (actually 48.95$ with 1100's) with 2 atomizers and 5 cartridges and one cover or another with 2 eGo Vision Stardust LR and 2 3.5ml Extreme Visions as well as 5 filters and 2 matching cones. In either case, I would plan to buy more cartomizers. From what I understand, if I buy the first kit, I should also buy a drip tip for testing liquids and cartomizers once I've found a liquid I like. As well as a cover to fit cartomizer. If I were to buy the second kit, I would need atomizers and a drip tip and also a regular cover for the atomizer. Is this correct? Assuming I find a liquid I like, and considering canvape ships free for orders over 100$, should I stock pile on cartomizers?(I'm thinking stardusts)
Does any of this sound reasonable?

Assuming this works out I'm also planning on picking up one or more of these and I'm looking for suggestions as to flavors, strengths and sizes. I'm currently almost a pack a day of king size regular strength Canadian cigarettes and I'm open and willing to try many non-tobacco flavors...but nicotine is a must!

Thanks again for all your insight and support!

They said they would honor the discount, but I still need answers to some questions I have. Namely those from post #23. I have offered to call them, as I have free LD, but I have not had a 2nd reply email yet. I only emailed them myself 20 mins ago so, you know, it's not like they're slow! But with customer service hours of 3pm-5pm, Mon-Fri, 15 minutes is a greater percentage of the available work day, so...

The better of the two is the Riva aka Kgo eGo Riva 650 or 1100mAh Black w/gold band or Stainless
The new V2 Stardust are good. I use them eGo Vision Star Dust SR or LR - Long Wick
Yes you'll need a drip tip. Make sure it's for a 510 threading which is the ones you're looking at.

Yes I would try and get it over the $100.00 mark for free shipping.

Most begin at 18 or 24 mg juice and yes it's a good idea to buy sample packs. Use your atomizer to test them before putting/ committing a carto or clearo as you'll find many taste horrible. Just a matter of finding your sweet spot. Juices I don't know as I DIY all my juice.
Good Luck.

They are busy beyond belief because they are the #1 vendor in Canada. I just read a post where someone bought, from a Cdn vendor, a starter kit for $80...Canvape sells the same kit for $50.

They are definitely the cheapest I have found. But time is money, and I need to be studying, but I really want to place my orders and move on!

I was under the impression that both kits offered the same batts. One having 2 atomizers, a cover and 5 cartridges. The other 4 clearomizers (2 different types), 2 larger covers and 5 filter tips. Looks like the first kit is now showing sold out. Of I were to buy the kit with the clearomizers, should I save these for when I have found a liquid I like? Would I need an atomizer and drip tip (or many) to test liquids?

Yes they are the same mah BUT the eGo drops down to a lower voltage quicker while the Riva holds the charge longer. The reason the eGo C is more expensive is because of the 4 clearomizers. Unless you're worried about size the eGo C is a little smaller than the Riva. Yes the Riva is sold out. I can't count the number of times I see this here and in the U.S. because they are a great PV.

Yes most definitely. There will be some juices you absolutely HATE. Attys are easy to clean. 3 weeks ago I bought the same eGo C kit for a friend and he LOVES it- easy filling with the clearomizers and after a 5 min. tutorial he was vaping and no analogs in 3 weeks.

Ok. Thanks for clarifying. I really thought they were the exact same battery in a different kit.

I received another email. Tom from canvape has said he will call me at 8 tonight. Hopefully I can quickly sort through any remaining questions at that time. But in the interest of being as prepared and informed as possible, I will ask a few more questions here. Thanks again for the help.

If riva 1100's are sold out, would riva 650's be a better choice than egoC 1100's?
In either case how many atomizers and drip tips should I purchase for testing? (I may buy 10 or 15 or more 6ml test bottles)
How many clearomizers should I purchase for long-run? (10%off and free ship)
Considering I'm aiming for subtotal of 112$, what else should I buy? (case and car charger for sure, but what else, pass-thru, spare batts? Anything?) If you have the time, please browse canvape.com and make suggestions and recommendations!

I received a cheapo kit in mid February and thought it was a gag gift- a joke. But i started experimenting with it and one thing led to another... I haven't had a single cigarette since March 15, 2012! NEVER thought I could quit now I can't even stand the smell of smoke- this coming from a two pack a day smoker for over 25 years. It CAN be done. Give it an honest effort. Best of luck to ya!

You're welcome and I know it's really rough at first but once you're there you'll LOVE it.
I would buy:
extra charger- they aren't the best whether it's the eGo C or the Riva...heck all starter kits come with a crap charger.

If riva 1100's are sold out, would riva 650's be a better choice than egoC 1100's?
If you are a heavy smoker of a strong brand I would say no. The 1000 eGo C is the better one.
How many clearomizers should I purchase for long-run?
They last about 2-4 weeks depending on the juice- darker juices clog up everything quickly. Also with clearos be careful of citrus based and cinnamon juices- these new V2 are supposed to be better plastic but they may crack with the juices mentioned. He's selling them cheaper than the U.S. cheapest I've found is $4.95 and his are $3.95. Pretty sure they are also rebuildable but ask Tom to be sure.
eGo Vision Star Dust SR or LR - Long Wick
A passthrough is nice if you work at a desk a lot. Also buy the manual battery starter kit because:
less chance of damage from juice
puts the vaper in complete control. With autos they have a shutoff feature whereas with manual if you need a strong vape you just hold the button down longer- great for those stressful times.

You'll also find as time goes on most of us have one company for hardware and another 1-5 companies for juice. As I said I DIY so can't help you in that area.

Edit: Again as you move forward you'll find something really insane...many vendors re-naming hardware...LavaTube= VTube= Lambo= KnightRider
Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil cartomizers= Resurectors= some other name I can't remember
Clearomizers are the worst...countless re naming of these suckers and sometimes hard to follow. Just an FYI.

It looks like the first major step is complete!

Although a little past the 8pm scheduled time, the service I received from canvape.com was more than I could have hoped for and WELL worth the wait. I've just received the last in a chain of emails from their rep, completing my order and securing what I believe, is an excellent deal! He has confirmed it will ship tomorrow (I'm hoping he meant later today as it's past midnight est.) and I will likely get it on Wednesday (the real tomorrow). I won't even have to place a second order for liquid.

If the rest of my transition from smoke to vapor goes half as smoothly as this last part has, I will be smoke free in no-time!

A big, sincere thank you to all who have provided help, support and well-wishes to this point! I look forward to keeping you posted and to hearing of your successes.

Cheers!

Cool. Now you know why so many of us are loyal Canvape followers. Before he opened shop prices up here were ridiculously high. Yes please keep us posted. It may go smoothly or there may be some hiccups but I know you made the right decision and will be happily smoke free. Yes please keep us posted.
Cheers.
