Finally, I can post on the Canadian forum.

Hello, I've been smoking traditional cigs for the past 17 years. I smoke roughly a pk a day & have tried several things to quit, to no avail. I was simply not motivated, or the product was a waste of money! We all know the health risk involved with smoking & I've finally made the decision to try quiting once again. I've done my research & believe vaping will get me over the hurdle, because it still provides a level of nicotine & the habit of holding a cig..etc..

My only problem(s) now is finding the right product from a Canadian Supplier or a US one that ships to Canada. Maybe some of you experts could help me out by answering a few questions & taking the guess work out of it for me..Man it's stressful trying to pick the right e-cig...smoking 2 pks a day now trying to figure all this out..

1. Whats the best product on the market? I want something that delivers a good throat hit, possibly a starter kit that is easy to use & has the best bang for my buck. Others have suggested the eGo.

2. Who's the best supplier in Canada? I want the best Products, Prices & Service. + I want to buy everything or as much as possible from 1 supplier, which includes liquids with nicotine in them to help my quitting efforts.

3. What flavours are the best? I would like to have some tobacco flavours at first & maybe something like coffee or menthol.

With so many products & sites to choose from on the net, all claiming to have the best products I thought asking this here first would help me make "The Right Choice" an easy one.

Thanks in advance

Wow, I just wrote a book, and then clicked "reply to thread" instead of "post quick reply" and lost it all. ROUND 2:

1. Ego kit, you can't beat the price and it performs really well ( Canadian E-cigarette Happy/Joye eGo Starter Kit - Black, Silver, White, Titanium ), I would suggest getting cartomizers ( Blank (empty) cartomizers (cartridge + atomizer combined into a single unit) for the Happy 510/eGo e-cigarette. ) at first, because I found it a pain to be dripping unless I'm at home just chilling. You just fill up a cart and top it off when you notice you're loosing flavor. Also the ego has a mega battery which lasts even longer, if you find the normal ones don't get you through the day.

2. The links above are all for HappyVaper.com, I find him the best Canadian supplier and I think a lot of people will agree. The downfall is that he doesn't sell liquid with nicotine, for that I would send you to Vapables.com

3. From vapables I would suggest you get RY4 and DK-Tab, they are both extremely popular. I wouldn't suggest the Belmont mild flavor, I smoked belmonts for years and I don't find it tastes anything like it. But the other tobacco flavors might be good. DO NOT GET THE COFFEE FROM VAPABLES, it doesn't taste like coffee, I haven't found a Canadian supplier that has a coffee tasting coffee, although the one from VaporBomb.com was kinda close.

Lemme know if you have any questions

I agree with lickwid an Ego from HappyVaper is the way to go also the cartos fine idea they are all I use. I have egos from all around the world and HappyVapers are the best hands down and you wont find better customer service.

The juice Vapables your best bet in Canada I beleive you should get your first PV and liquids from Cananda so you dont end up waiting weeks to start vapeing. The best tobacco flavors I have found are at E-Cig Super Store | Compare Prices On E Cig Starter Kits

As for coffee thats my thing love vapeing coffee my favorites there both come from VaporBomb.com they are Kona with cream and sugar added and the Cafe Mocha is awsome.

http://www.velvetvapors.com/ is another one of my favorite juice vendors love Kats juice.

I recommend not buying any large quantity of any juice til you find out whats gonna work for you I also assumed I would only vape tobacco and couldn't have been more wrong in reality. The juice vendors I have mentioned all have sample sizes or sample packs great juice and fantastic customer service.

+ 1 to Happy Vaper for quality and customer service... pricing is more than fair.

Will you find the eGo cheaper elsewhere? absolutely. Will you get the same amount of customer service and quality? possibly... but you can spend a million hours searching for the cheapest eGo kit out there and be dissapointed with one element of the purchase and it can throw off your entire "e-cig experience" right off the bat. I was fortunate enough to have been led to the eGo myself and when 99% of the ppl on the forums here recommended Happy Vaper, I knew he could be trusted. I don't regret that decision at all and I KNOW you will be happy with his stuff. Would I say he's the BEST supplier in CANADA? well define "BEST" ... he does have a wide range of products, and for me, it's convenient because he's local. Not sure exactly where you're located.

As far as juices go, I recently got a cappuccino flavour and various tobacco flavours from Backwood Brews and they are supberb. You'll find initially that you THINK you'll only want tobacco type flavours etc... but once you start venturing out there and trying diff flavours, be it through sample packs, or the through other people, that your tastes change quite quickly.

+1 for the ego

If you are just starting it would be better to get something that is simple and commonly available. If you are smoking a pack a day you will need the battery life or it will get frustrating. I found my ego was attached to me the first few days and easily was vaping twice as much as I smoked.

For tobacco flavours I would agree with the RY4 and DK TAB recommendations. Since you mentioned menthol that would be a good one to try as well. It gives a good throat hit and emulates the smoking experience a bit more. Many people find they think they will like the tobacco flavours when they start out because that is what they are use to. After vaping for a while and your taste buds come back you crave more complex flavours and might not like ones you do to start. Flavours are very subjective so follow your gut. I do agree that I like the vapables versions of those flavours better. But it is good to get some variety to start.

I would recommend ordering the ego from happyvaper and pick up the juices from uvapeit using the coupon someone has posted in another thread in the Canadian forum. That should be a good starting point.

The one thing you do not touch on is strength. This should also be an important consideration. Too low and you will not get the satisfaction. Too high and it will make you sick. For a pack a day I would think 18mg to 24mg would be a good starting point. If you are going with 24mg I might get some 18mg for the evening or when you are chain vaping.

Every smoke avoided by vaping should be considered a victory.

+1 for Happy Vaper, definitely.

+1 for Vapables.

As for juice from the US, my favorite importer right now is definitely Todd @ Vaperite. I can't get enough of Toffle and Bananas Foster.

Seems like all the popular juices from Vapables are sold out! Anywhere else in Canada to buy nicotine base flavoured juice?

I really like the Tobacco absolute from e-puff. They also sell EGO equipment (I believe) along with blue foam for your carts.

ePuff - Electronic Cigarette Canada Quebec Montreal

I've purchased from them and was very happy with my items. Make sure you tell them that you were referred by the Canadian subforums.

I just sent you 3 big private messages, Nlvapour - hope they're informative & helpful.

I recommend Evapers for your flavourless PG with nicotine...and Happy Vaper for everything else! Seeing as you're new to vaping too...I recommend you start out with a couple of 510 batteries from Happy Vaper.

All the best, and welcome!!

And congrats on making the wonderful decision to quit smoking & start vaping!

I haven't found a Canadian supplier that has a coffee tasting coffee

the cafe cappaccino from electronic-cigz.com tastes alot like sweetened coffee...one of my fave coffee flavours i've tried. only problem with them is that the shipping cost is abhorrent! got to buy lots of stuff from them to justify the shipping cost. I usually split shipments with somebody else to cover some of the shipping cost...

Ok, it seems like a lot of people here love Happy Vaper. I was leaning towards them, but they don't carry the nicotine juices..Gotta have that at first if I'm ever gonna kick analogs.

So I went to epuff & added the following items to my cart. Do you think it's enought? Am I missing anything like maybe an extra atomizer? or will the ectra 5 cartomizers be enought to start out with?

1 ePuff eGo Starter Kit
5 Cartomizers
5 Cartridges
10 Blue Foam filling material
3 10 ml bottles juice ( Tobacco absolute, Tobacco RY4, Cappuccino)
1 30ml Bottle DK-TAB Tobacco ( Maybe too large to start with?)

Am I missing anything? What would you add to this order?

Thanks

The average person vapes in the range of 2-3 ml per day. You might be a little higher when first switching both to fight off those cravings and spillage/learning curve. Remember it is not just the nic that you crave in cigarettes but the 4000 other chemicals as well.

That sounds like a good start. I might want to include an extra atty as that kit only seems to come with one.

Well guys, my eGo has arrived from epuff. Vincent was more then willing to ensure I was 110% satisfied with my purchase. After I placed my order he emailed me tracking info for xpress post which only cost $9!!!! he also added an extra atomizer & when Canada Post was late with delivery he sent me a coupon code! Can't say enough about his service. Top notch!
The eGo itself was a little bigger then I expected, but I guess when you can vape for twice as long as the 510, it has to be twice as big also..LOL Maybe I'll pick up a couple 510 batteries for backups or while I'm mobile & vaping less..
The cartomizers seem to be a winner for me also..I took the advice off one of the videos. ( Simply fill 1 of the end caps (Carto Condom) half to three quarters full of juice & slowly insert the threaded end into the cap). This fills the carto up nice and quick & very little wasted. Maybe I'll find a better way in the future, but for now this is the way 2 eGo.

The Atomizer was a little tricky. I filled the cart full of juice & let it sit for a few mins to absorb everything. Gave it a good puff & almost nothing came out..So I inspected the mouth side of the cart & removed the cap, inside this there was a small rubber seal with a hole in it. ( Is that suppose to stay?) because after I removed it I got a good haul of Cappuccino vapor..yummy!
Someone here suggested Tobacco Absolute from epuff. That stuff rocks!!! It's as close to a real cig as your gonna get...I can barely tell the difference.

Overall I'm very happy with making the decision to try vaping. I only just started & already I feel alot better about my chances of quitting real cigs.
Will keep you guys posted about my future experiences with the eGo quality & the quality of the various flavours I plan on trying in the weeks ahead.
Special Thanks to all those who have helped me in this thread...A+++++++++++++for ECF
