Are there any Canadian suppliers that carry the Volt e-cig kits? I want to get one as a gift for my brother-in-law to try as he's been talking about trying to quit cigs and knows I've had good success with vaping. I figured a cig-alike would be good for him to try and the Volt seems to be the best of those types from what I've read/watched. Thanks!

These are a little more pricey but have had great reviews. They work like a champ, hold a fully assembled ecig and are pretty classy:

Canadian E-cigarette Redds

With not trying the volt but loving the Redds which got me to get off analogs and back into vaping I happily endorse them :)

I am going to have to throw my 2 cents in as I agree whole heartily with shades. The redds kit was my beginner kit to get me off of cigarettes and they worked great. I have since moved on to eGo's and my favorite VMOD XL but the Redds kit does rock. I have yet to try the eRoll but it looks interesting. Redds you can find at The Premier Electronic Cigarette (ECig) Supplier in Canada - E Cigarette/E-CIG/Personal Vaporizers, DIY, Vaping, Smoke, eLiquid and the eRoll at MadVapers - Your Canadian Distributer of Premium E liquid and E Cigarettes I hope this helps if you try something other than the Volts.

I haven't tried the eRoll but agree it does look like an interesting option Canvape has them for $60

Also never knew about madvapers, looks like I need to check out the latest and greats list for vendors :)

I myself also moved on to a zmax and twists and shared my redds kit with a hopeful vaper :)

Yes it is funny to watch my best friend do the same progression. I gave him my Redds kit in hopes that he would love it as much as me and he did. He has since moved to bigger and more advanced models and has returned the Redds kit to me to pass on again to someone else. It is hard sometimes to talk someone into trying this most amazing product, but I find once they do the analogs go in to the garbage and its nothing but Vape heaven from there on. I just can't believe that it took me 21 years of smoking a pack a day + 2 tumour extractions and radiation treatment to get me to quit. I tried it all, champex, the patch, the gum, nothing worked and yet i switched to vaping like it wasn't even a challenge. I can't explain how much this has changed my life and I am sure all of us ex-smokers feel the same.

Its quite astonishing that our own government refuses to see the benefit of it and actually goes out its way to shut down the vendors that our saving our lives. Makes me sick to know that Canada is as corrupt as it is.

Ah the standard pattern eh? Start off small and easy, move up to bigger and more advanced.

Am i the only long term vaper who enjoys having minis around?(actually have an eroll coming this week to try out).... I have lots of mods, but i just can't help but keep auto kr808's around and topped up all the time. I probably go through 2 kr8 bat charges a day + whatever mod i feel like using.

Hey teabagger will be interested in your thoughts on the eroll. The one thing I missed about the Redds was when I was working on some stuff and not being able to have something hanging out of my mouth like I used to with an analog.

I've been hinting to the guy that has the redds kit if he wants I would set him up with an ego instead :)

You want something that is going to work and is relatively inexpensive? $22.99 for the redds key-cig. You get the battery which is rated at a regulated 3.6V and 400/mA which keeps a heavy/chain vaper like myself in battery power for about 6 hours, oh and you get the usb charger. If you want blank cartomizers you can get 5 of them for a additional $7 and 10 for a extra $13. Plus you can get the 10% off the order using: HV-EZW6VC.

I have used a very large variety of mod's, and ego's and i have to say the reddss key-cig is well worth it, as i use it to vape every day and in honestly has become my main device, and i do have a second and third coming to me in the mail :D

I'm in that 808 club too :) I enjoy how compact and low key they are in public.

The Redds are a nice intro kit, the case is great for portability but the battery life is shorter....the case will provide 5 charges before needing a charge itself. The cartos are amazing and come in pkgs of 10. I give it a thumbs up.

Other 808's like bloog, volt, v3's and generics offer the option of purchasing a larger battery, adding another hour or two.
The charging cases can be purchased in a kit or separately, some will hold two sizes but not the largest (380mah).

Personally, I started with an ego and never went back, why not start with an ego kit?
I went to the smaller style to blend in with the crowd. Do you have a favourite vendor who offers an 808 style kit?
I like to keep funds in Canada if possible, the chances are you will find a good kit on this side.

Much luck to you. :)

I thought about getting him the same kit as I have (eGo-C upgrade kit). I'm considering his smoking 'style' and he likes to hold the cig in his mouth a lot (usually between his teeth) and I thought that he might have more success starting with a mini. I had a look at the Redds kits and did a little reading and they seem like a fairly good kit. I just liked what I had seen/read about the volt kits so was looking at them. So far I have ordered from Canvape and Vapoursolutions and both have been good so far. I'll do a little more looking around before I decide which way to go. Thanks!

I'd look into the Joyetech eRoll kit as well. Believe it or not, they sort of impressed me -- they were far more satisfying than any 808 starter kit I'd ever tried anyway. (Review coming tonight.) Yeah, it's a C-type tank system, and yeah, it's a 90mAh battery, but it comes with a 1000mAh PCC and they actually work surprisingly well. Flavour isn't 100% (maybe 80% or so) but TH and vapor are all there, wicking has been great, and overall I had to give it a thumbs up. I already know someone who's quit on this kit (his first kit), so that's a good sign.

My main devices are twists, which I find boring but they just work so well and are very practical for everyday use. I fell for the hype and bought a zmax v2 which works good but is just too big and gaudy looking for my tastes. Went the other direction and bought an eroll because I spend a fair bit of time in Las Vegas and sometimes fell out of place in bars and casinos with my larger twists. The eroll does work quite nicely. The down points to me are the air hole is located right where I want to hold the device, the atomizer gets too hot to hold it there, so I end up holding it closer to the LED end, not ideal. Its nearly impossible to see juice level in the cartridges, the case doesnt hold anything other than the one assembled eroll, one of the two included atomizers was doa, and I have to take a longer draw to get the same hit as a more powerful device. Overall though, I quite like it, much smaller and lighter than most 808 models.
