I would not get the 32 or 34 gauge Kanthal because it is harder to wrap and gets the resistance too high too fast. I would suggest 28 and 30 gauge. That still makes it easy to hit the 1.2 - 3.0 ohm builds and allows enough wraps to make a good coil.
As far as your original question I would suggest a clone (please don't flame me). I started with a EHpro trident v1 clone and hcigar Kayfun 3.1. Both are pretty easy to build.

Exactly, I don't like how I can't see how much is left inside the tank. Thankfully, mine came with a small and large M tank for freebies. I use the Large M tank and I think it looks better on my Nemesis, Thats just me though. Honestly I kinda wanted to see what would happen to a PC tank with those certain juices Lol. On the downside it hasn't happened, on the brightside it hasn't happened Lol!
I do like the Chromed Brass style. No worries there with cracked tanks anymore. Drop proof too. Lol.

Either way you will be happy with whatever it is you choose. I got the lite+ cause it was cheaper ( clone ) and it's chucking just as I expected it to with all the raving reviews I read.

I see what you mean Lol. I never ordered from FT cause they take Foreveeeeer to ship stuff. And honestly I wouldn't know how to answer that question cause I never used the metal tank long enough to tell between the two. I Don't even know how much I filled I'd say at least half way and ran it down to a dry hit and changed to the large M tank. Good question tho I wonder as well lol. If they made a metal tank with a window at the bottom that'd be nice.
I have always filed my tanks when it hits 60% left. Anyways seemed like a better fresh vape when its full. I don't mind filling.

Yes it would!! Lol, Just like a little circular window of sorts, Or like how they do the Vivi nova windows but only at the bottom area. That'd be perff.
And yeah I know what you mean, with the kayfun you can run the tank literally empty cause the Cotton is still saturated so you get a few puffs before you NEED to refill Lol
I see lots of good suggestions here but I would suggest you also pick up a simple RDA or two as they are real easy to build and take down. If you're anything like me you'll want to be trying out all kinds of coil builds and its way easier to do quick builds and tear downs of experimental stuff on somthing that doesnt have a tank set up. That, and I can pull HUGE clougs out of the tiny RDA's once i drill them out
