So, 4 months ago I decided to try the blu disposable and see if vaping would be a good alternative to smoking. I actually quite liked it. The only problem was 24mg nic was way to much for me. A few weeks ago I bought a 400mah mini ego regulated at 3.7v because I need something smaller to bring to work, was intending to buy a twist for home use. I also bought two mini vivi novas and various juices from mt.bakervaper. I bought a variety of pg/vg mixes to try out.

My problem is they mostly taste like nothing. The smell is there but compared to the blu disposal it's really quite bland. I tried dry burning the vivi novas and letting them sit for the night and didn't get much improvement. This was more of a test case and I really can't afford to invest much more money unless im certain vaping will replace smoking. Im considering going to a local shop and buying a standard carto and seeing how works, but their price of $12 per carto has me hesitant. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

The blu disposable is VERY strongly flavored (I can feel my throat closing up just thinking about it) and really comes close to replicating the sensation of smoking. I think that's what folks here call "throat hit". If so I'm not big on throat hit. That said I'm positive you can get a better experience with your new set up than with the blu. Go look at some of the monster threads in the e-liquid board and when you get your post count up to 5 you can start asking questions. I bet you'll find what you're chasing.

The Blue disposable likely uses stronger flavored juice than what you ordered. You might want to order a few samples of juice from a company that offers the option of having extra flavor added. I'm not up on all the popular juice companies but I recall EC Blend offering that option.

It would be ideal if your brick and mortar shop would allow you to sample juices before purchase to see if they offer something you can taste and like but it doesn't sound promising if they are really selling a single cartomizer for $12. Are you sure that price wasn't for something else?

When vaping the same flavor for long periods of time I find that my taste buds simply go on strike for that particular flavor. Drinking water helps some but switching between flavors is what really does the trick for me.

My personal preference is for Mini Nova's over cartomizers for flavor but a few people feel differently. However, I doubt if switching to cartomizers would increase flavor.

Thanks for the replies. My problem was I assumed that blu would be weaker flavor than the average liquid bought online. Turns out mt. bakervapor had an option for extra flavor shots that I overlooked. With the. 2.4ohm atty I got the mini ego/nova producing a good amount of vapor, with some stronger juice i'm sure it will be great.

The mini ego/nova is a little heavy for work, so i'm ordering a twist or the vision version of twist for home and a smaller ecig for work. Does anyone know what type of ecigs blu or apollo are? 510 or kr808?

I won't be buying anything from my local shop. It's $12 for 5 cartos, but still rather expensive. A standard 650 ego kit is $90 for 2 batteries and 3 cartos. I'd rather just order online.

If the Blu works for you, stick with it. However, I will give you some heads up. The mini nova tanks will produce excellent vapor, flavor, and throathit as long as you have the right juice in it. MtBakerVapor has good flavors but you may need to ask them to increase the flavoring for you. Also, they make their stuff fresh and sometimes fresh isn't always good/great right out of the box. They may need to steep for a week or so. Just put them in a cool/dark desk drawer or closet and don't touch them. This will help meld the flavors...bring them out.
