Hello, i am new to this site so please bear with me but i wonder if anyone could give me some advice. I have been smoking 30 cigarettes a day for the past 37 years and had no luck with any methods of stopping until last week, when i decided to purchase a Kangod Subvod starter kit. I purchased a 16mg/ml e-liquid and have been happily smoking it for the past week and have for the first time in 37 years completely stopped my cigarettes and have had no bad side effects. I thought all was going great but have noticed various comments online stating that for this particular model i should be using 6mg/ml or less. I am very worried about this low level as i am coping well without cigarettes at the moment and worry about dropping my nicotine level too soon and failing again. I would be grateful if anyone could offer me some advice. Thanks!

Hey - congratulations.
No rush - you can slowly reduce nicotine. If you get too much nicotine, you won't FEEL good...then you'll know.

One way to cut back:
If you have found a flavor you like, you can buy 16 and 12 and 6, even 3 mg strengths - then MIX them to get strengths in-between.

For instance:
10 mls of 16 and 10 mls of 12 = 20 mls of 14...
15 mls of 16mg and 15 mls of 6mg = 30 mls of 11 mg/ml.

If you're keeping off the cigarettes, you are, by definition, doing great. Do whatever you need to do to remain off and continue to ask questions when unsure of the safety. You are doing more than OK.

I think you are doing Great Ladyjack.

That 6mg/ml you saw was just a Recommendation. The Key is to Find what works for You. And then get a little time under your belt Before you start making any changes.

And now might be a Good Time to think about getting a Backup for your hardware. Because if you Drop your Mod, and break the Tank, could you wait for a New One to arrive? Same with having some Extra Coil Heads on hand.

Like I said, you are doing Fantastic. And Congratulations on Quitting Smoking.

Some folks vape all day long. Some folks vape during a 15 min break at work every 2 hours. Some folks take long draws and savor it. Some folks take a short puff here and there. Yes, there are a lot of things that make this a personal thing.

Bottom line. If you are anxious, nauseous, woozy...then cut back. If you are having cravings...step it up. Your body will tell you what to do.

Hey No Problem.

I've just read Too Many posts where people are happy to get over that First Week hump, and then they have some problem with their Hardware. Only to Fall Back and buy a pack of Smokes. And then have to Start All Over again.

Congratulations on getting rid of the stinkies, and taking the first step on your vape journey. Enjoy it.

IMO i think you are doing the right thing in starting the transition from fags to vape with the high nic juice. It is a big step you have taken. With the high nic it allows the body to adjust and allows you to get rid of the other poisons your body has taken from burning tobacco and additives over the years.

The number of people I have seen give up vaping because they have started on low nic juice. Claiming it didn't do it for them.

Personally, I started with 36mg. Have dropped down to 18mg now, that has been over a 3 year period. At the moment that is where I want to be.

Good luck and keep it up.

Congrats on not smoking. Want more nic take deeper longer pulls and/or more often. Feel a little queasy maybe the start of a headache, shallower pulls and less frequently. It really is that easy. Just do what works for you.

Of course you realize that once you are no longer hooked to cigs the danger becomes you get hooked to buying as many assorted vape devices as you can find, even without the added incentives the FDA is giving everyone. :)
