A friend (and a friend of this friend) would like to quit analogs and chew. I told him I would give him a link to a good starter kit (fastech perhaps?). I need some solid suggestions on an affordable and simple kit for them. Ahlusion is actually within 2 miles of our houses so liquids and flavors are not a problem (how awesome is that?). I will go with them for that part. I have been vaping for 2 years but I have my own odd kind of way of doing it...I really need to point them to a batt and tank/cart that will make it super easy for them and feel kind of like I don't know what is currently the easiest way to go. I don't think they need cig-alikes. Some type of smallish ego mod maybe? I want them to have a solid first experience with it.

Probably the most recommended starter kit on ECF: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

It has everything they need except juice. Have them get Evods as the juice devices for ultimate simplicity. I like the Spinners better than the twists - longer battery life, voltage markings are easier to read and the adjustment dial is easier to turn. They're slightly fatter than the Twists, but exact same length.

Look on ........'s blogspot for a semi-recent post about a deal on Smoktech Winder's for like 14 bucks. That a couple T3's would be a pretty cheap, no frills starter kit that a beginner could definitely handle, and still gives a good vape. I say the T3's because they hold enough juice that unless you vape like a demon it should get you through a work day, and personally I find the bottom coil way less hassle. I found it off putting on my first clearo that I had to keep tipping it back to get the juice to the top of the wick. Of course, there may be better options, I'm not really an old hand at this either, but from what I've seen that looks like a pretty good deal.

I bought this exact kit (linked above) about 3 months ago - it's a great starter kit. Has two batteries, a charger and 2 toppers - I too recommend the EVODs.
Now, it's a little expensive when you compare with similar products available from fasttech. I don't see a starter kit with the twists so I'll list them out separately. As for the quality of fasttech, most have had good experiences with the batteries and toppers. If not, fasttech has a 6 month warranty - one of the best in the ecig business. There is a whole fasttech thread in this forum too for more info.

$12.69 EGO-C Twist 1100mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette - silver at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping this is the twist - you can get it in different colors and mAh too, just use the dropdown over to the right of the page.
$2.65 EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer (1.5mL) - blue / 2.6 this is the EVOD - again, colors in the drop down.
https://www.fasttech.com/search?1155201 is the charging cable - I can't see a good wall charger for the USB but you should be able to get one locally for a few bucks.

I personally would buy some EVOD replacement heads from a US vendor like discount vapors or My vapor store.

You're doing a good thing for your friend and they are lucky to have you looking out for them - kudos.

Whether your friend sticks with vaping or not, you're doing the right thing. I had no intention of quitting when I purchased my trusty Ego vaporizer. A couple of years ago, my first experience with a gas station e-cig was disappointing with a worthless device. Threw that $20 piece of junk away and opened a fresh pack of Pall Malls. Recently three fellow smokers had kicked analogs and were vaping anywhere from a few days to several weeks. I jokingly said worse that could happen was I'd be out sixty bucks on starter kit and I could smoke cigs and vape at the same time. I picked up that Ego kit with two units, charger, and free 10 ml juice of my choice. I'm loving the taste testing journey at my local vape shop and online. Get your friend involved with a local vape shop and refer them good online vendors. This would be a good one!

Membe Aglet, above, has an awesome suggestion.

Today is day 10 of no cigs and free of any craving. Enslaved to cigs since 1986 and NEVER went 10 days without a cig. I'm not even trying to kick the habit but no need for a cig with four of my favorite e-juice blends on hand.

For real though, here's what I would get:

1. 2 mini protanks (they are awesome, do not suffer from the problems associated with the protank1, are easy to fill, clean and maintain, and look great on a sliver ego-style battery)
2. 2 packs of replacement heads for protank
3. two or three vv ego-style batteries (maybe one mini for pocket portability and two full capacity) and usb charger from fasttech (as others have mentioned)

After that just run him over to Ahlusion where, as you know, Wlad will promptly blow his mind.

In a couple months point him to an itaste svd or mvp from fasttech.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ill second third and fourth the opinions previously stated =) ego-c twist is excellent, tho i just viewed a vision spinner yesterday in real life and i think that will be my next battery, the twist is hard to read. EVODs are perfect for beginners. fasttech will take a long time shipping from china, i use myvaporstore for hardware, they are great. im pretty sure they have a 650mah twist/evod kit for $20.

good luck, convert em all! =)

I got lucky, my local B&M started me with Ctwists and pro-tanks, and a USB charger. Great setup. Not too expensive. Easy, no fuss, but variable enough to try different things. I second the DV for PT replacement heads. Great Service, good prices.

Oh... and point them to ECF :) Great learning, great support community.
