Yeah, finances are super tight right now, so getting both isn't an option. Eventually, I'm sure but for now I have to pick one. ;)

I can use my eGo bats for backups. They still work, they're just not as powerful as they were. I've been planning on adding a couple of eGo minis to my collection for short trips out (and for stealth vaping when the need arises), so I will probably go that route and add another mod later on. I am certain I will end up with a vamo at some point, because the price point is great and I've heard a lot of good things about them....alas, it will be a while because I assured hubby that I would stop spending money on everything but juice and heads for a while after I get my MVP. :p

Just throwing this in there because you didn't say how much the Vamo kit was. How about an eVic? Value Vapors has them for the same price as FastTech (about 80¢ cheaper but you pay shipping). They ship out fast, seeing how you're both in TX it should only be a day or two. Joyetech eVic Starter Kit [eVic-Kit] - $74.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

I use my eVic more than my Vamo. Partially because of looks with the protank that holds my favorite liquid, but a lot of it is the RVW programmable vape cycles. It's noticeably lighter than Vamo and about 1/2 a drip tip shorter. It does do PT on a dead battery or you can swap out the battery for a charged one.
Although I'm having a problem trusting the computeriness of it so I'd still recommend a backup but I haven't had any problems with mine.

One suggestion if you get or have an MVP....

Some have reported the "beauty ring" that comes with it can bind on the bases of T3, Evod, and CEs, so if you try any of those combos pay attention and don't force anything. It's not needed for those anyway, so no big deal.

Also, there's the (in)famous 999 roll over on the puff counter. The MVP will light up as if it's firing, mine for about 10 seconds. Appears to also be no big deal, but a heck of a surprise!

I love the look of those and definitely hope to grab one someday soon. Right now it's just a *smidge* more than I want to spend, but thank you for the link. :) I bookmarked it so I can go back and grab one when I am able.

Thank you for the heads up! That would have freaked me out and I would have been frantically asking about why my device was randomly firing in the newbie section for sure.

Also, when you say it can "bind on the bases" do you mean just a really tight fit or does it actually bind to the point that its not removable?

Does the MVP light up when you press the fire button? I just got a Vamo and realized while in a movie theater the other day that it's actually very nice that it DOESN'T light up when firing, for the purposes of stealth vaping.

Someone will be along soon to answer your question, I'm sure. I don't know yet as I won't have mine in my possession until tomorrow. (I *THINK* it does, IIRC, per the review I watched on youtube.)

I was just thinking how funny it would be to be happily stealth vaping in the dark and hit that 999 rollover.

(That's the kind of stuff that always happens to me when I'm trying to be sneaky. :glare:)

Yes it lights up. But since the button is on the face, not top or bottom, if you have it toward you it's pretty stealth. And not bright like some.

The binding - it doesn't seize it forever. But there's a good chance that when you take off the topper you'll open said topper up and lose the juice. It becomes a process of trying to unscrew both the topper and the ring at the same time - but you can probably not reach the base of the topper....

Many just put the MVP's ring in the gadget box. It does make a good seal to the top of the MVP, so makes a nice drip shield for drippers. And it's also a good base for the larger carto tanks, which is how I use it. Or just a different style ego cone to dress it out, aka the flare that comes with the Protank, or ...

Likewise, mine's the second edition, with the ego threading. (So that makes three, the internal 510, the external ego, and the beauty ring.)

Evods and other ego threaded devices work fine.

The first edition didn't have ego threading, just 510 and beauty, so the use of a 512 to ego adapter was needed.

Evod won't sit on MVP. I would get the Vamo. I like my MVP but, not as much as the Vamo.

???? I have no problem with the Evod and the MVP.

I am sad.....my "local" B&M was out of them. :( SO I think I am going to limp my batteries along and go ahead and order one from Fasttech and save myself a few bucks.

Man, I was hoping to have it in my hot little hands tonight. *sigh*

Ouch, that bites. Sorry about your luck. Just be aware that the fasttech ones will take an extra 3 days from their usual ship time. Mine came from fasttech, and I love it, but it took 4 days to ship after placing the order, and the item status still shows ships in 3 business days. I would reccomend the one that comes with the iClear 30. Both kits are the same price, I have have both the iClear 16s and iClear 30s. In my opinion the 30s win hands down.

Well, I just found it at iVape.net for $55 after the coupon code and free shipping. That is $5 less than the B&M and $10 more than Fasttech.....so I think I've changed my mind AGAIN. :p I am willing to pay ten more bucks to get it here faster.

One thing....the clearomizers that come with this kit don't seem to be the stock clearomizers, or am I wrong? Is this a good thing? Maybe these are better. *shrugs* (Or maybe they are the same damn thing with a different name. I'm such a noob.....)
