Hi Everyone,

Thank you for reading this post. I have started vaping few days ago and started getting into high end mods and attys. Would someone advise on a high end attys. Assuming the liquid is same strength of nic and same combination for PG/VG, Which atty will have a bigger throat hit?

I have read some reviews about kayfun lite and prometheus, it seems that prometheus has a greater throat hit. I am new to this so I might be all over the place.

Thanks in advance.

Can't go wrong with the kayfun. It gets daily usage from me. Subohm microcoil build with cotton on a mech mod and the throat hit is INTENSE.

Thank you. One of my colleague uses it and likes it as well. But I would also like to see if someone has both kayfun and prometheus and can give me a comparison on which one has more throat hit.

Go for a higher PG juice too as it won't produce as much plumes but will provide more throat hit, same as above go sub or least lower spectrum, don't have high end equipment but the AGA-TD with SS gives allot of TH.

Thank you. I have still not found any good canadian vendor. I like The vapor spot in LA. I am going to try mapleleafvapes as I have heard a lot of good things about them. I am hoping that they are really good and then I can stick to just ordering the juice from them. Thinking to buy Lime flavor as I read that it has good TH.

The quad coil build is a bad idea if you are new to building... It is irresponsible that anyone would even suggest it on the new members forum. When you add a coil, it halves the resistance, so what you wrap each coil to will be cut in four with a quad coil. Meaning that even if you managed to wrap each at 4 ohms, the total resistance would be 1 ohm. Basically, with a quad coil, you will more than likely end up in sub ohm territory, which is also not a good place to start. You want throat hit, not a pipe bomb near your face.

Part of what makes rebuildables good is that you can wrap them to suit your tastes, including throat hit. Resistance, air flow, and coil positioning are all things that affect throat hit. There are plenty of things you can do without going to the extreme of trying to pull off a quad coil.

Not only that, but the mixture of VG/PG and nic content will also affect throat hit.

Lastly, the Reo Grand and the Reomizer is easily the best setup I have ever used. Better than. A Kayfun, genesis style, or drippers.

Thank you. Very useful information. I will look into what you have suggested.

+1 on a kayfun for a great atty thats easy to build on and doesn't need a lot of attention when it's built. It has good throat hit and awesome flavor. Genny's are nice but need more tinkering and they generally don't like to be laid on their side. I agree with Thrasher, if you go with a genny, don't go with a Prom...an RSST is actually a nice one that you can try to see if you like them. They're pretty forgiving as well as affordable. I also agree with Jazzy....suggesting a quad coil is pretty ridiculous at this stage of your journey. Ignore such nonsense. But, drippers are a good way to practice building coils and tasting juices....assuming you read up on battery safety and invest in a ohm checker or multimeter. Microcoils are really easy and give a good throat hit without having to dive into the sub ohm world. Theres plenty of videos on youtube showing how to build them. Good Luck!

+1 on the reo for noob and experienced vapers alike, also if your going to get a genny, and yes you will get better throat hit off a well built genny i would suggest staying away from the prometheus. There's way better atty's out there in that price point.

Yeah, I think I am going to skip prometheus. Thanks.
