Need an explanation about wick fiber liquid flow

I'm looking for a scientific answer to this question.

Is there anyone who can explain how fiber absorbs liquid towards a coil?
If the wick is wrapped around the posts, will we lose liquid due to the inability for physics to pull the liquid to the heat source?

Capillary action. It works just like a candle wick or a paper towel dipped into a pool of liquid.

^ what K_Tech said. Also the variable of composite/density of the wick material and viscosity of liquid will effect the amount of liquid hitting the coil that provide best results. Now toss in a long wick and start making twists and bends you greatly inhibit the ability of wick to maintain sufficient action.
rba's are all about trial and error. Find a setup that works for you and stick with it.

I'm now pulling organic cotton to line up the fibres. I use a small amount of loosely combined cotton in my RBA and it soaks a lot of juice up. I can go up to 10 puffs on just a few drops. Look at my avatar for the cloud. 1.7ohm 3.1v 32ga 6 wraps kanthal mini coil.
