Ok,

I'm using a smoketip 808d battery which is charged. I got 15 Boge 808D-1 Cartomizer 3.0 Ohm (Black).

1) I filled it with hypo mentho it didn't work (I did it wrong)
2) Just did condom method
3) Just did top method

NOW when I suck through my battery I get no firing at all... There is no way all 3 from different boxes were broken... No way I could screw up simple fills every time....

WTF! What am I doing wrong!!!??? Are these not right for my battery? The reviews said they use V4L bats?

Help! I'm getting angry with this!!

Suck through the cartomizer, not through the battery.;-)

However, assuming for the moment that you are, in fact, sucking through the cartomizer:
  • Are you sure that your battery is functional? Does it work with prefilled cartomizers?

  • Perhaps you flooded the atomizer portion of the cartos as you filled them.

  • I have found that not all Kr8 cartomizers (at least out of the box) are compatible with all Kr8 batteries ... even if the threading is identical.
My guess is that the third bullet is the problem.
  • You may need to adjust the center post of the cartomizer. Notice the slot. Use a regular-head screwdriver to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise several turns. Then try it on your battery.

  • You've made an investment in cartomizers. Try them with a battery from Vapor4Life as was recommended.

What Don said!! Plus, if you overfilled and got juice into the battery hole, it can ruin the air-flow sensor that fires up the battery when you take a hit. So make sure you don't have leaks from the carto.

Don, nice suggestion about the screwdriver! I wonder if that will also work on 510 cartos, which also have the hatch-mark on the + terminal.

Great insight about messing up an automatic (and, therefore, unsealed) battery with leaking juice!

As for adjusting the center post on a 510 carto: Can't hurt. [Well, it might screw it up (so to speak) for use with the batteries that is had been working with.] I've had middlin' success the few times I've tried it. I know that others on ECF do this all the time.

Gentlemen, I would like to caution against recommending that method. It can ruin the cartomizer, and a 510 (MOSFET protected) battery also, as a result.

The problem is that part of the atomizer coil is soldered onto the center post of the cartomizer... When you twist the center post, you're twisting the coil loop. It can break the wire and kill the carto.

Even if the wire doesn't break, it may twist and touch the side of the carto and cause a short circuit. And unless your battery has adequate short circuit protection (the eGo class batteries DO NOT), this can irreversibly ruin the battery.

My suggestion would be to get a 901>kr808 adapter from Good Prophets. That might work.

BTW, there have been several discussions on the subject, here's one:

Thanks, Katya, for the good info. I have used a sharp pin to slightly slide the center post down perhaps 1/2 mm to open up air holes, kind of poking in the side air hole and prying downward a bit, but this has never broken coil connections, nor does it rotate the center post. It does, however, open up airflow in 510 cartos, which seem to push their own center posts in when screwed into batts, causing that irritating clog.

See, Ralikar, even us vets learn new things here!
