There are three air holes in the top section air flow control ring that all feed air through channels to a single 2mm air hole in the middle section that is aimed perfectly at the coil. Ingenious and practically leak-proof.

When wide open, It's not a particularly tight draw, but not resistance-free like many bigger cloud-chaser attys. I think it's a little freer of a draw than the RM2 stock, I'd guess probably about what you're used to with that 5/64" bore.

Specs: Chalice III

I do lung hit with it, it gives more air than a RM2 drilled to 1/16, but with the way the air flow channels from three holes to one 2mm hole it might feel a little tighter than a straight 5/64 air hole.

If one had to can you open the hole on the Chalice 3? Thanks for help. Still on fence.

Maybe, I don't know of anyone who's been brave enough to try, since this such a stellar piece of engineering. it might help for you to see how the airflow works.

On the far right you can see the air flow ring with it's three 90 degree holes and flutes, This sits on the top cap in the middle with the three matching holes. that top cap is doubled walled if you will, creating an air flow plenum that channeling the air to the single 2mm hole as shown on the left.

What's not know is how much flow the plenum can handle, so will opening the 3 holes in the ring, the 3 holes in the top and the single inside hole result in more air?

 With a little bit of a style change and learning curve I can now get perfectly fine long lung hits every draw with plenty of flavor rich vapor without slipstreaming the Chalice III's like I still have to do on my Chalice II. The error was all me, not the builds, not the Chalice III's that are well on the way to becoming my favorite bf atty's.

Three of them is not going to be enough of them. ;)
