Why are those screws considered proprietary? Is the threading different than a metal or wood tap screw?

There are no threads on the posts of the version 2 (2nd run) chalice. The screws don't really have much in the way threads either - just a very small thread to grip the wire. The screws use the wire as a thread the thickest wire mine accepts is 29 ga.

Soo... Screws hurt my fingers, I switched out the drip tip, and tried xc132 ( didn't work, using cotton) made a PERFECT 1.2 ohm coil. Draw is tighter, flavor is good. Looks pretty

And damn is the coil hard to thread lol

Yeh, that "Z" threading of the coil is a killer. Ha. Just make a good coil that's going to last awhile so you don't have to change it often. Ha.
