Hi there!

I room next to someone who is apparently allergic to my vapor. When I vape inside, even with an open window, he has sneezing and coughing fits the rest of the day and comments about "something in the air". He has no knowledge of my ecig, so his symptoms are genuine.

I would like any advice you can give regarding this issue. I'm wondering...

Is it more likely the pg/vg or the flavor additive that is causing the reaction?

Would trying a flavorless juice help?

I obviously don't want to cause anyone issues with my vapor so any guidance is appreciated!

I was going to say it is allergy season but not sure how that is down in texas. Vapor doesn't linger. Maybe something else is bothering the person. Try doing a test. When the person is fine without symptoms.. tell them about it and ask if they are alright with it. If so take a few puffs and wait and see if that brings them back. If it doesn't then your all fine.

Edit: also is this window open a new thing too? Since you started to vap? Because maybe dust is getting into the air or whatever is bothering them is coming from outside. Just a thought.

I am using peach flavor from freedomsmokeusa. After I vape in the room, leave, and come back, I notice the smell in the air, so something still lingers. It is allergy season but I have done enough trial and error to be fairly certain there is a correlation between the allergic reaction and my vapor. It is probably a combination of existing allergies and sensitivity and the lingering vapor.

I have heard some people are allergic to PG and I wonder if switching to pure VG could help? Or trying flavorless?

Really appreciate u looking out for your friend. Yes 100% VG may help. Also do try flavorless for your indoor Vapeing. To be clear Vape dissipates after about 7 seconds, however it can leave a 3rd party film on stuff. GL

Well my thoughts are you may be correct with the lingering smell that effects his nose, it may not be a pg/vg issue at all just the fragrance. When I was growing up my dad would literally throw a fit when I would wear a scented lip gloss or body spray just being in the same room as me would give him a bad headache and sneezing attack. (It was miserable growing up for me cuz that takes all the fun out of being a girl when the least scented can things impose havoc for the household.) Everything we wore needed to be fragrance free...now your roomie might not be as sensitive as my father was but I think its possible it may be bugging him but allergies are a fickle an unpredictable thing.
I can notice a lingering smell for a few minutes after vaping in my house but not for very long... I am also wondering like marty said about the outdoor allergies being the main culprit you have a window open and that lets all the pollen right in...

I don't know, but maybe it is the open window and allergies to pollen. Or maybe it is the vape.
