The Kayfun class, including the Russian tanks are both solid decisions. I own 2 Russian 91%, 2 Kayfun Lite Clones, and a nautilus. Side by side all 3 tank systems are almost identical in performance and flavor. With the Kayfun and Russian it breaks down into how you build it and what you will be running them on to get the best out of them.

Safest, lowest resistance I suggest to those that buy the Kayfun class is about 0.7 to 0.8 Ohms, though you run into the chance of melting down insulators at that range if you are not careful. The MVP2 can handle, but not suggested full time use, a 0.8 Ohm build. At 1.5 to 1.8 Ohms would be the highest I would build one if running on a mechanical, regulated VV/VW devices can always be bumped up in output to compensate for a 2.0+ build. However, best build on a Kayfun class will be in the 1.2 to 1.5 Ohm range (research what the lowest build your VV/VW device can handle, example my SVD can't handle builds lower than 1.2 Ohms), give yourself a +0.2 Ohm higher variance or such for you VV/VW devices. This range of build should perform equally well switching it between a mech mod and a VV/VW mod, with in my experience, a mech mod losing performance as the battery charge drains lower and lower, VV/VW devices get the same performance once set in output.
