need help choosing ego-t crackproof clearomizer dct or any tank system

Hey all. Been on the forum and been trying to figure out what to get to replace my stock ego-t carts/atomizer. I was going to plunk down the checkout button on some stardust clearomizers until i read the big thread on certain flavors causing cracks on the plastic causing leaks ;(

So im back to square one and digging on the forum to find another solution. Iguess im getting desperate and have to resort to asking for help on recommending another solution. I was considering to buy some ego-t stock carts since i have no problems with them, my 2 cartos that came with my kit worked fine for about a month but i like to have the extra storage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thx..

I have been through a few setups.

So far I am using a 4.2v ego style battery and an converting from the CE3 to the Vivi Nova

As I do it yourself for my own flavor’s and strength of nic I have stayed away from the analog since Oct 2011 after a 40 year habit.

As for where to buy, oh so many vendors. I watch for location for best shipping time, and of course price.

If you choose to go with ViVi Nova's you have the option of choosing an additional metal tank, these should work better, and they are far superior to Stardusts (imo)
Easily rebuildable, last for ages, and give you lots of Vaping Pleasure

Strong Cinnamon flavors are the only real big culprits of breaking tanks. General rule thumb it to look for a clear tank that has a smoked tint to it (polypropolene). The materials seem to be impervious to the harsher flavorings

OK!!!! Stop everything!!!! I'm going to give you some advice that 80% of all members would! Here it is... Get a DCT Smoktek tank (dual coil cartomizer tank) and some Dual coil 1.5 Ohm Cartomizers pre-punched from Madvapes.com. I guess if you are using an 18650 Mah battery mod this would be goo and the best choice BUT IF YOU ARE USING AN EGO style battery, not so much. But the bottom line now is you can purchase a 18650 battery mod made of plastic for $20.00 from madvapes and try this set-up cheaply and if you dig the DCT with a dual coil carto... you can always go tom altsmoke and get a silverbullet ar go to puresmoker.com and get a legacey, both ues a 18650 battery and IMR is the best and safer chemistrey but you need to watch to see that your voltage does not drop below 3.6, it will damage an IMR but decrease it's rechargability to full potential... Anyway, go big... ie: 18650 with 1.5 DUAL COIL CARTOMIZERS IN A 5ml TANK and you will never lookj back.

Also look out for the Vivi Nova V2.5. It has the upgraded plastic barrel which does not cloud or crack like previous versions. I just bought one from a UK vendor and it is very good. You'll probably find a vendor in the US that sells them.

Thanks for the great tips. I just have a regular ego-t so im stuck with low res. Does any of the nova's have cracking issues? So far i havent seen version #s but ill keep searching. It kinda sucks when i bought my ego i didnt know about ECF or i would have bought me a VV system... As far as my eliquid i have menthol, spearmint, coffee, sweetarts, and more and half the flavors are on the list. Do you guys generally buy an extra tank or just a bunch of spare heads or coils?

On the valleyvape site it asks if you need a prepunched or not punched cartomizer. What does this mean? Oh and for my ego-t, i know i should be using a lr atomizer, does that mean for a single coil i should only use 1.5 ohms or for both single and dual?

Hi Jai, For tht eGo batteries it would be good to be between 1.7-2 ohms on a single coil cartomizer this will give a nice warm vapor. You dont have the voltage or amperage to run a dual coil cartomizer to its potential. With your tank maybe start with a pre punched carto just so you can get going and see if you like the overall performance. If you like them then invest the 7 bucks at your local home depot type place and get a saddle valve http://www.homedepot.com/Plumbing-P...splay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&storeId=10051 so that you can punch holes in your own blank cartos.

I'm a huge fan of the vivi nova. I have one from vapor alley and a mini from gotvapes…and I'll probably buy another big one from ikenvape (because I want to try their fusions too).

And I think dual coil cartomizers on an ego battery is a really bad idea unless you like cool vapes. Maybe I'm missing something, but the math just doesn't seem to work out right for them. That being said, I follow the numbers and decided they weren't worth trying. I will say that after breaking it in the vivi nova absolutely destroys my single coil smoktech cartos in every way that matters: vapor, throat hit, flavor, ease of cleaning & changing flavors, longevity, etc..

I'm a fan of the eGo Excalibur rebuildables - the top with the wick, the atomizer and the tank are all replaceable, (and buyable in single bits) which makes them a very good deal. Just replace the piece you need to, or throw away the one piece that's bad. No probs with them so far, no leaks for what that's worth.
